Has Wes Rucker never been past Knoxville?

Bain’s story isn’t an unfamiliar one for Tennessee fans, but here’s the gist: The Atlanta-area native initially signed with Tusculum, an NCAA Division II college located one hour East of Knoxville, near the North Carolina border. He didn’t play as a freshman at Tusculum. He redshirted.

Bain said he does take comfort in knowing that he’ll have the “same chance as everybody else” to earn reps for a coaching staff that seems to treat everyone in the building equally.

“I think it takes me coming in every day, … I mean, it takes anybody coming in every day and working,” he said. “These coaches have no agendas. These coaches have no favoritism to anybody. It’s really just, ‘Come out there, play your best, and the best man will win.’

“I love it.”

Anyone notice in the video a yellow jacket lands on his shoulder and then eventually flies off? It was the spirit of Georgia Tech going,"Oh wait, this is Paul Bain right? Better get out of here before I get swatted!"

I’m reasonably certain that Dooley and Butch are proof that God doesn’t care about Tennessee football.

You're right. God doesn't care. He has far more important matters to attend, most relevant to getting as many humans as possible to be better human beings. As for coach hires, it wasn't God's doing, that the UT Athlete Department.
