obviously I know that the dude is beastmode in the NFL, but didn't follow recruiting as much as I do now. I really hope we can keep guys like this instate, regardless of stars. in the vid posted below, he STILL talks about how he wanted to go to UT, but we wouldn't give him a chance. again, I'm sure there are 10 kids that don't turn out for every Patrick Willis out there, but I really hope our coaches evaluations of these kids is spot on. I would love to have this one back!

btw sorry if already been posted..

I believe the Mayan calendar - the new discovery showed Dooley coaching East Texas State in 2013 and Rod Wilks sitting high atop a football shaped throne.

Daniel Brooks was the better option in the coaching staffs mind and was supposed to be the next Al Wilson. Patrick was offered the chance to walk on if I remember right.

Ok. Poe then. I can throw out a bunch of names

Poe did not have first round production at dt in college, he vaulted into the first based on a workout and potential. Poe is a risk in the first round if you go off what he was able to do on the football field in college. His story is not finished yet tho, hope he does well.

ESPN had a show on the other night about Willis' journey to the NFL. He is a very humble person who lived a very rough young life. Said he went to his dad's house the day he was drafted and his dad pulled a knife on him. It is worth watching if you catch it on.

+1.

Yes, the E:60 feature on him. I caught that too and ended up watching the whole thing. Great story.
