50 years from this exact date which guy do you think will be remembered as the better basketball player?

Seriously though, good question.

I personally think that Ewing will be. I may be saying this a little biased since I grew up watching the Knicks play the Bulls and got to watch him more.

tough call. how many more seasons do you think Garnett has left in him?

That's the thing. Does Granett stay around too long and drag his career out, or hang it up soon. If he stays around too long and is just mediocre at best, then I think that will hurt is image later on. Now if he walks away soon, it will make his career look better. JMO

I would probably go with Ewing here as well. But like some of you other guys, maybe my perspective is skewed a little bit by my thoughts that players of Ewing's era are a little better than modern players.

Garnett has had the better career, but Ewing might have been slightly better when you compare them in their primes.

Another ridiculous comparison. Ewing and Garnett play two totally different positions.

This would be the same as asking who would be remembered as being better between Dwayne Wade and Steve Nash

Wha? You can't compare two 7' guys who were strong defensively, had good post moves, and outside jumpers? What is so different about them?

Ewing played with his back to the basket most of the time and was a true pivot center. Garnett, while having a great low post game, has played forward and much further away from the basket.

You do have a point on the other attributes.

I will take Garnett by a nose hair

I watched Ewing's entire career, he was not a "true pivot center". That's why I didn't like him, he gave away his 7ft advantage.

Five times a game, Garnett goes on the block and takes a fadeaway jumper. Especially in his prime he did that all the time.
