So let me get this straight. Conservatives, who arguably have clinged onto the constitution proudly and have defended several constitutional rights to the bone to support their case for many years, are now saying that we should limit the power of the court?

Hahhahhahahaajjajaajajajjaahahajhahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahaahahahahahahajahahahauahahahahahajahahahahahahahahaa

What a load of hypocritical bull****.

"When it aligns with our beliefs we must listen to the constitution, but when it doesn't we have to make changes."

This is hilarious.

This is hypocrisy at its finest.

The courts aren't following the constitution. That's been clear for a while. Buchannon is right on the money.

You evidently don't understand the issue, and so your post is actually what is humorous. But not very.

The Dems use the Constitution to wipe their butts.

Do you think the Judicial Branch should be allowed to make policy from the bench? Or stick to interpreting the law as its supposed to?

as long as they are making laws that are in line with their far left beliefs they are good with them making law

I think Roberts ruling on Obamacare is a perfect example of a judge at the highest level violating the constitution.

he was completely wrong in the ruling. fact is these legislative judges have erased our constitution and our congress doesn't have the guts to hold them accountable. we don't have 3 equal powers, the judges have taken sole power and they need to be held into check by the legislative branch.

Overturning laws or executive actions that they "deem" unconstitutional is not making policy.

In my eyes, Pat Buchanan has less credibility than Al Sharpton has in yours.

I listen to Pat with the same filter as you listen to Al.

There is no comparison, Sharpton is a full blown racist and can't even pronounce words correctly.

What does he do for the Black coalition besides being a divider?

Seems everyone has an opinion on Constitutional law, yet to my knowledge none have a formal education or experience in interpreting it. Lots of armchair quarterbacking going on these days. Opinions are like A-holes.

Checks and balances folks, without it it's not far fetched to believe a dictatorship is right around the corner.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Pat Robertson? That would make more sense in your comparison.

Maybe you need to go get a law degree, clerk, hang a shingle, fail, join a firm, make partner, run for judgeship, get elected, do a good job, be appointed as a federal judge and then rule against the three people who did all that.

Easy.

Does that mean you don't get to criticize Trump until you've been president?

The fact that we live in a Republic has apparently been lost on some folks in here. That or they have no idea what a Republic is.

I guess since they thought that their boy got elected it was opens season for anything he wanted. Pretty sure that these were the same folks chirping about Obama being a dictator.

As for the Roberts ruling on Obamacare that did have several retired federal judges scratching their heads. He clearly "interpreted" the fine as a tax when the authors of the bill clearly stated it wasn't a tax.

It's tough being an authoritarian with effective checks and balances in place.

"deem" is the issue. even though a judge can have years of precedence, he can still deem it as unconstitutional. they need to be held accountable when they don't follow the constitution.
