partying at the MCB

sorry that i started a thread about this but i couldn't find anything on here about it, I was wanting to know that since the MCB is at LP field, a NFL field, will we be able to buy beer at the game? If i end up going i certainly hope that i can. It would be nice to be able to sit and watch a UT game live in person and be able to drink a few beers. And not have to sneak it in.:birgits_giggle:

Might want to start your partying before the game though. I got a buddy at the Colts v. Titans game now. Apparently 8 bucks per beer! Gotta love stadium prices!

On a side note I dream of the day I can enjoy a beer with a Smokey Dog at Neyland!

Waaahhhhh!!! $8 whole dollars!! OMG! They are 16oz so they're not that bad. And if you are going to whine about it, either don't go or sneak in a flask. If you can't afford $8, you probably shouldn't be going to the game anyway.

There is no need to be rude. Unfortunately as a student I do not have a ton of money to spend on stadium beer.

Also I was not complaining about the price, but simply making a statement about the prices.

I see nothing wrong with complaining about paying 8 freakin dollars for a beer. Not enough people do, thus we have 8 dollar beers. Im not rich, but im far from poor, 8 dollars is too much. If it doesnt bother someone to pay it, maybe they should buy us all some.

To say one shoudnt go to a game because they dont like paying 8 bucks for a beer is just stupid. I repeat, stupid.

I would imagine they would since they sold beer at the liberty bowl when ut played Memphis.

Yeah, not bad at all....only about 600% over what you would pay at a gas station. Why be a douche? Dude was just warning the guy that its not cheap to drink at the game.

I would argue you took my comments way too seriously. He asked a simple question. I answered it.

TennTom might as well have done the "Let me google that for you routine" while he was at it. But you may be right - he was probably curious about the pet policy for the Music City Bowl as well - I was planning to bring my two cats, Bernie and Ernie till I read that site.

I am curious to hear what the stadium entrance security checks at LP field are like. I may bring a little something to keep me warm on the upper decks.

I have been known to bring a flask to the UT games and had no issues with it being noticed at the gates. However, at the KY game I went to a less busy student gate and got a TSA pat-down (groping). Thankfully I left my flask at home avoiding any further embarrassment.

Anyone know how thorough the people at the gates are at LP field?

8 bucks a beer IS that bad.

A 6-pack at the store is $6.00. 72 oz

A pint at any bar isn't more than 3. 72oz = 15ish

Minor League Baseball 32oz = 6.00...again 15ish

72 oz at the stadium = $35 or so.

If you can't see the difference, call me to go on your beer runs. I'll grab you a case for 300.00. It's not that different.

It's not a matter of affording 8.00...it's a matter of affording it over, and over, and over. Only a damn fool would spend the money to actually drink that much at a ball park.

They have separate lines for men/women at check in and do pat you down but not groping. Your bag has to fit in a certain size to get in. They mainly fee bags and look inside but don't take everything out. It'a risk you just have to take.
