Partial blocked kick

I've seen 5 media people say that it was not blocked. They were saying that Chase stutter stepped a little.

Chase was on an ESPN montage type clip I saw earlier today and he said the Ref behind him signaled it as being tipped.
I would guess that interview section with him is out there somewhere.

The ball was tipped IMO. If you look at the ball, the rotation changes after it passes the hands of 47.

It was clearly tipped - there were videos on here that showed the ball effectively changing direction and spin. Additionally, it is hard to kick a knuckleball, someone on this site also provided audio evidence - where you could hear both the foot make contact and shortly after another sound where it was hit or tipped.
Look back in the football forum and you should be able to find the proof that you seek.

Oh yeah definitely blocked. Watch the ball coming off the foot of chase, it had that flipping motion and changed to an ugly wobble.

They got a hand on it. You can tell by the rotation coming off of his foot was end over end as it should have been then takes an oblong knuckleball path. Chase had enough leg on it to overcome it.

The video shows that fingers touched the kick. It clearly goes from end over end to wounded duck mode after it passes the jumping Bama player.

How far would that ball traveled had the guy not tipped it? It had to have crazy velocity on it.

It was tipped. The back judge even made the motion for it being tipped...

Chase says the ref indicated that the ball was tipped when it happened. They found out Monday morning when they rewatched the game.

I thought it was a flag also. I also thought it was a flag for taking your helmet off during a live ball on the field but Mt. Cody did that in 09 and nothing was called so it just depends on what the refs want to call and not call

I can see Nessler and Danielson missing it in the heat of the moment that it was tipped but the talking heads going on about it being a knuckleball well into the next day was a little ridiculous.

It was obviously tipped and most everyone caught it as soon as the rotation changed.

I believe it is a penalty if you jump over a lineman during a kick. I guess it doesn’t matter if the kick is made and ends the game.

Just saw Chase it was partially blocked; I'll take his word for it since he was there.
