Parking lot 23b question

What is best route to get in and what time must you be parked by to not get blocked by Vol Walk? Also, what happens if you get there when Vol Walk has started? Do they just hold you them let you go on when it’s done?

Depends on which way you come into Knoxville and how soon you wish to be there. 5 hours before kickoff and any route should be fine.. 23B is a good spot for parking IMO.

Time wise, Vol Walk is 2:15 before kickoff.

You can come in Neyland Drive to Lake Loudon. I used that lot once and entered and exited that way. I was staying up in Pigeon Forge area at the time. In general I always got to parking spots 4-5 hours before kickoff to tailgate for a while. At times earlier depedning on who is with me.

You can come in Cumberland to Volunteer Blvd or Phillip Fulmer Way also..

We are coming from the South. So either early or after Vol Walk clears. First game we will be running on the later side closer to kickoff due to an event that morning. They say get their two hours before kickoff I guess for vol walk to clear yet they hold it up for 30 minutes after it starts. Sounds like bad math to me. Lol. Thank you for the response.

Neyland drive to Joe Johnson. Go straight across at volunteer Blvd, right onto Pat Summit dr and you are there.
The POTS band will be lining up in prep for the March to the stadium about the same time that the vol walk begins. The entrance is blocked at that time.
Sometimes they will let you in the other entrance when the normal is blocked for the POTSB.
coming in this way will be unaffected by the vol walk.
