I'm not familiar with Nashville at all, I may have been there 10 times in my life. A buddy of mine said expect to see parking around $80, I feel like this has to be a wild exaggeration.

Does anyone have any insight into this? Or any advice on parking on gameday?

If you are talking downtown, park on 6th and Commerce at the library garage... It's $5 after 5pm for all night parking. It's only 2 blocks from Bridgestone Arena... And I've never seen $80 parking,$20-30 is normal for big event parking...

Yea, $20-30 is normal for events in Nashville. Luckily, I will be parking at work for free..

If you get there real early, you might be able to find street parking. Not main downtown, but little bit out and just walk downtown, enjoy the day, then cross the bridge.

Sounds like your friend was ripped off big time. We park on the stadium side about .5 mile away and pay $15

Park somewhere on the street for free and get a $5 Uber to the walking bridge or the stadium

Who the hell is paying $80 for parking? Had to be said in jest IMO.

Nashville is one huge tourist attraction. The powers that be would be run out of town if parking were $80. Just sayin'. Nissan Stadium has almost enough parking adjacent to it to accommodate fans for the game and I've never paid more than $20 to park anywhere within a couple of blocks of the stadium. Never.

There might be some park and ride busses as well, which is not a bad option.

No. There's no way this is true. As people have mentioned, you can park for free if you don't mind a little walking. If you'll be participating in shenanigans down on Broadway after the game, I'd recommend the Music City Center parking garage. It shouldn't be any more than $5-10, and it's safe, clean, and well-lit. You can either take an Uber over to the stadium or you can wander down Broadway and over the pedestrian bridge to the stadium. If you haven't been to Nashville many times, I would highly recommend the second option. It's an easy walk and the views of the city from the pedestrian bridge are unmatched.

There seems to be so many rumors out there about this game in Nashville that are just not true.

1) All the hotels have jacked up prices. You can't find one for less than $400. Sure the hotels downtown are only going for their normal, very high, room rate with no discounts. But plenty of rooms in Nashville outside of downtown are available for under $150-200.

2) Tickets are too expensive. You can still get tickets for $45.

and now the parking thing.

Not sure where these are coming from.

Your friend must have gotten confused with the home of the Dallas Cowboys. The cheapest parking within 2miles of AT&T is 50 bucks and up to 150 at the stadium. It's crazy money to go to a Cowboys game here in Dallas.

For the clueless. It's always expensive for the hotels downtown because they are booked almost 365 days a year, not just during football season.....

The 104.5 tailgate behind Lot R is $10 for 21+, not the $35 reported on VN. $5 for minors.

My parking pass to the lot less than 100 yds from the stadium was $29 and some change after fees and taxes and my club level seats on the 40 were $65 with fees and taxes.'

You guys should get out of your caves sometimes.

Vandy fans probably trolling us and miking up these stories. I live in the Boro and have been to al kinds of events in Nashville. regular parking is 10-20 bucks. The parking passes beside the stadium many times are sold for 40-50 bucks, because people want to tailgate. Please get yourself down here and support the VOLS. Nashville is a great time, Except for the few Candy fans you might encounter.

Also since you are not familiar with Nashville. I'll give you a few tips for food in the area. Note some of these are not near the stadium.

Burger Republic (good beer and you must have the Truffle tots)
Gabbys burgers
The Pharmacy (German Beer Garden with a nice selection of brews)
Hattie B's Hot Chicken
Prince's Hot Chicken
I dream of Weenie (HOTDOGS!! You perves. Yet it is near Vandy)
The Southern
Cantina Laredo
Mas Tacos
Martin's BBQ Joint

You can park in the Pinnacle Bldg garage for a reasonable price. It's close to Broadway and a short walk across the river to the game.

Derek Masons lost notebook item #47 clearly states, If anoth team is playing in your town and drawing more fans you must begin rumor mongering above the event.

Great post. Couple of questions...do you know much about what they are serving at the 104.5 tailgate? I have some dietary restrictions and was wondering. We are planning on going down early (got a parking pass as well) and checking out Little Harpeth Brewing before the game.

2nd question...how did you get clubs for $65?

For big events most of the pay lots in Nashville are typically $20 for the first 2 hours and then $30 for longer than 2 hours (typically good until 6am the next morning).

If you're paying more than $30 you're grabbing your ankles.

Just bought Nissan Stadium parking pass for $25 for the game. At this point you have to buy them at the stadium. Spots are still available.

Tons of free parking on streets downtown and lots will be $20. People really need to chill!! We need to promote people going not scare them into staying away. 3700 tickets left this morning.

3rd Avenue is great for parking for free. It's the area by the 2nd/4th avenue exit off of I-40. It may be filled up on gameday, and it's a bit of a walk, but I'd take that over twenty dollar parking any time.

Like someone else said, though, the Library parking garage by Commerce is cheap and usually has spots available for around 5 dollars.

Find somewhere free to park on the street downtown and then walk across the pedestrian bridge to Nissan stadium. That's what I'll be doing
