Parity has arrived

Personally, I believe MSU was worn out from the UT game and going against aTm was just too much in one week...jmo, not sure if Auburn put up a fight.
Very possible, hard to bounce back against a good opponent for sure, especially on the road.

The more I reflect on the MSU game the short fields they had likely made it closer but we clearly had gaps on defense. aTm's secondary was flying around and appeared to have better coverage. You can't argue that our D is very opportunistic though; taking a lot of heat but did score 14.

I think we have a tough squad but with an unhealthy defense reality of that fact is about to hit us.
I don't like using injuries as an excuse. Every team has injuries. Ole Miss lost their starting QB. They adjusted.

It should be "next man up." Fortunately, our schedule has allowed us to give our reserves some quality playing time. I believe that will pay big dividend, as we play out the schedule. Rather than bemoan the injuries, which nobody ever wants, maybe we should look at them as opportunities. When the injured players come back, we will have lots of depth. Giving the reserves the playing time may keep them out of the portal, as well. Go Vols.

Watching MSU fall off of a cliff against aTm in the second half and it’s starting to look like OSU, Miami, aTm/OU (maybe) are the strongest teams this season.

The rest of us, to date, all seem pretty even which suggests it’s going to be a tight fit into CFP slots 4-12.

Parity has arrived. Good news is we can play our way in with OU and Bama to go. Going to be interesting.

I don’t think A&M is that strong.

I have yet to see a team in the SEC or even Ohio State for that matter that we cannot beat. Did you check the score in that OSU Texas opening game? It's not like OSU scored on the Horns like Florida did, There's nobody out there in college football head and shoulders above everybody else at this point. It will take a great effort week in and week out to be on top but it may as well be us. Let's face it, Bama struggled with Vandy and could not blow them out at home in a so called vengeance game. Anybody can beat anybody this year it seems. Let's take care of the Hogs and take them one at a time.
