Yeah I never figured out why they don’t just count down from 45 and stop the clock for interruptions in play. They do that in high school and college soccer here. “Stoppage time” is pretty much a judgment call and often ends up not being a true measure of how much time was spent without action.

It's why soccer will always struggle in the US. We are addicted to the drama of time management at the end of football and basketball games.

That stupid Bama alum high jumper turning down a gold medal that was literally in his hand, then losing the playoff is going to be the reason we don’t win the most golds outright.

Women’s bball can’t get it together either to tie China in gold. May have to settle for just the most medals overall. Smh

No idea how the judging worked, but it’s a shame for the other competitors that this woman got all the headlines and basically got the event nixed from future Olympics. Her ridiculous performance went so viral that it’s almost impossible to find clips of the ones who were actually good, but they were extremely talented.

A couple of the men’s medalists…

I read they had to license 390 songs for the breaking competition, so it was too expensive to justify its continuance.

Why does Noah Lyles have to be such a clown? He won't race Tyreek Hill at 50 yards. Insists on 100 and calls it a gimmick

Lyles has dedicated his life to track and will only do the event he's trained specifically for? 60 meters is a real event. Counter with that. I actually think he's scared of Tyreek. Go get paid bro. Get your Adidas shoe. Stop crying for attention and clout and take it by smashing Cheetah.

You have nothing to lose running that 50 and could have gained so much more even with a loss.

I'm almost convinced this guy is just a flash in the pan. I saw where Usain Bolt told him the sport needs guys like him, I'm not sure he's who Bolt thought he was. He's got no charisma, he's talented but lacks the humor and good nature of a guy like Usain Bolt who you respected and actually grew to like while being flashy and boastful.

He's young and sure he can change, just don't think he will.

I like that he's flashy, cocky, and outspoken, i just wish he'd tweak a few things. Just race Cheetah. Get paid. Make a comment about "workd champions," fine, but why did you say it "hurts" you?

He's so close to being Anthony Edwards, but he's not quite that. He's got a little too much Jayson Tatum in him

I like all those things as well, but there's too much fragility in his ego it seems....... and not enough humor and charisma........... That's where he loses me.
