I was just doing it cuz Sly had been down there. Thought he'd find it interesting or have some recommendations. Probably could have kept it to pm, but oh well.

I really enjoyed it down there, pooch. Sounds like you need you a good vacation.

I wish you'd post more about your journey. A huge Hemingway fan and a lover of all things freedom, I believe I'll probably end up down there pretty soon. Guess my interest was somewhat narcissistic.

You need to make a side road trip to Ketchum, ID.

After coming up through the keys, we stopped in Miami Gardens to look at the stadium. Then, instead of Ponta Vedra? they decided to cross the state and go up the gulf side. We spent the night in Atlanta after some serious driving and caught a Braves game today. I am now home, my dog pissed on himself at the sight of me.

Damn, I still haven't gone out fishing. Might be going to Montana in a few weeks. Maybe, then. Stop and drop a line in the Madison River.

Totally non chalant, just gonna hit the best trout stream in the lower 48, sigh.

Have you had a chance to get up through there? Has to be the most beautiful river I've seen. I've never really seen it too crowded with fishermen. But, most may be in parts I don't know.

They told some pretty cool stories about Earnest. He'd referee boxing matches, then beat the hell out of the winner. We took a tour of his favorite writing spots and drinking holes.

I ate at the restaurant where Tennessee Williams wrote some music.

I watched fireworks off a pier with a beautiful girl.

I swam with a barracuda and was close enough to touch dolphins.

I put my hand in some sand and pulled out a handful of oil, which was sad.

I stayed in a nice hotel in a great location, but would have preferred a B&B experience. I have some nice ones to recommend.

I watched a 53 year old man do things I never thought I'd witness. 20 dips, tumbling and gymnastics.

I saw a 16 year old kid juggle knives while on a unicycle.

I watched a key west sunset over the ocean, a beautiful thing.

I may have won a badass car.

I have so many pics to get developed I'll share.

I made a few friends, had some good memories, had some fun, and got to escape everything that's been on my mind for awhile.

Thanks for your interest pooch. I can pm you some stuff I'll gather on Hemingway.

I can't remember who, but something makes me think Andy Rooney, a reporter who was up front at the Bulge, after Patton did what Patton does, going to Paris and basically calling Hemingway a cowardly piece of shat.

I like Hemingway, just relaying a story
