Two weeks and counting. Hopefully the cold weather stays there. Currently 17/17 trails open. Two Villas,18 people,French Lick Casino (Harrahs) right down the street.
WOOT! Thanks to my dearly departed friend (attorney, pilot) who turned my family on to this spot and for all the memorable ski outings we(our families) had together and all the cooking he did as well!!

Wow, I had no idea that anyone else had even heard of Paoli ski area. Just got back from Taos myself, the Indy hill is not much of a challenge.

Normally works fine at Paoli since half are new skiers/snow boarders and there's half girls and guys.

hey, i've never been down there...we go up into michigan to swiss valley. how nice is paoli peaks?
It's nice when it's good and cold where they can keep a good base of snow on the trails. It has 17 trails plus tubing area.To compare, my son did ski in Colorado once and he still enjoys Paoli Peeks as much as ever.Nice Chalet on Hill for gathering. This weekend, MLK Holiday, will be packed. You should try it!

Last time I was there I broke my leg and stayed 4 nights in University of Louisville hospital.
Sorry to here that. There have been some rough falls but overall nothing serious.Sometimes there are more icey areas that make it more treacherous so to speak. My son was in Gatlinburg this past weekend and had a hard fall while snowboarding. He normally will ski but they are getting more into snowboarding only now.
