Pants w/ stripes

I loved the Pants, I hope they wear them on the road this season with the white jerseys that have the orange shoulders, numbers.

Also, bring back the orange pants with white stripes for some road games as well.

I would love to see the black off of the road jerseys as well.

Just my 2 cents.

They won't wear the throwbacks on the road. (Orange shoulders) The NCAA has deemed they have "too much color" in them to be away jerseys.

I don't think you will see ALL orange, although there might be a small chance at some point (prob not this season) you would see white on orange away (IF the NCAA hasn't outlawed that as well).

As for the black, I REALLY don't see that going anywhere. They say that without it, on the white background, the tv and radio people can not read numbers/names.

I'm just so very glad that they pulled the ole switcharoo on me. I had heard as late as Friday night that they were NOT going to wear the stripes. When I was sitting there in Neyland and they came out of the tunnel with the stripes on, I lost it. I knew right then and there that Cal was in serious trouble. I knew we'd win all along, I knew it wasn't going to be close when I saw the stripes!!!

Yeah, the stripes pretty much sealed the deal. I saw several Cal players hyperventilating when they saw us come out of the tunnel wearing stripes. Also, the Cal gameplan all along was designed to stop a team wearing solid colored pants. They had not prepared to face a team in stripes.

This is too funny:dance2:

Yes, the stripes looked especially good on Robert Meacham streaking down the sideline and Eric Ainge throwing lasers.

On second thought, maybe it is the location of the pants rather than the design that makes them look so good. I especially liked their coordination with the checkerboards while high-stepping into the endzone and their contrast with the Cal unis while collapsing the pocket.

For the record, I felt much more confident because seeing those stripes was the first tangible proof that Tennessee had dedicated itself to returning to "Tennessee Football". I knew that Cal would NOT beat a team that was truly playing Tennessee Football.

Several teams wear pants in their primary team color with the white jerseys, so the NCAA hasen't banned them, at least not yet.

Ignore my reasoning all you want.

I ended up being right and most everyone loves the look.

It's a win-win.

If there's one thing that represents true Tennessee Football, it's fashion.

Right about what?

I'm really not trying to belittle your point. In general I just find it silly when teams/fans find motivation in uniform gimmicks.

As everyone said here, I am hearing for sure staying on the Home jerseys and may also be worn with the away jerseys.

I think it's cool on the home jerseys, but I think the solid white look is cool for away games.
