I think so. I think he may be the most proven coach on staff and is going to improve our DLine starting next year. He may not be as good of recruiter, but LT didn't do that great, and we have more stud recruiters on staff than most schools.

What do you guys think?

Agree. Don't know much about his recruiting, but definite upgrade at Dline coaching experience. That also means something to recruits. He can tell them all the great Dlinemen he has coached.

He is a more experienced X's and O's kind of coach.....Dooley needs all of those he can get since he isn't.

Great coach.......unknown recruiting ability. Seems like he is a solid hire but definitely not a sexy, monster recruiter, young type of coach. You can only have so many young guys on staff. Should be one of those types of coaches that nobody except the players he coaches thinks much of.

I would say as far as experience, yes..and as far as teaching skills, from what I have heard,yes:yes:..As far as recruiting, unsure:unsure:..Have to wait and see because he may help with that aspect more than we think he will.:good!:

Overall, I think this was a good hire and will pay dividends if we see improvement in rush defense.:good!:

Coming from a guy who played for Palmero, he is going to be a good coach. Now, if we will go get Tim Brewster, this coaching staff will look pretty good now.

Guys.. It's our DL coach. How many teams hire monster amazing recruiter DL coaches? Thompson was hired to coach LB's. That's a hire I'm curious to see(assuming Sunseri doesn't coach LB's, which I think he will).

I watched the Vols vs MTSU football game from last fall twice. I am still convinced that we were doing coming to tip off our run plays. The whole point of the sprint-draw system is to make every play look like a pass. But if you watched the tape of that game real closely, somehow their linebackers knew when a run was coming. They were all stepping up and filling the holes just a hair too quickly for the natural read process.

I hope this guy can tell us what we were doing that was giving it away...?

Maaaaaaybe I'm wrong....but watch that film. It was a little strange.

Could blame our predictability
