What was his problem this year? Was he just this bad of a kicker or was he hurt this year? Probably the worst year I've seen kicking in Tennessee history. It seems like anyone could come in and beat him out next year.

He actually had me wishing for Lincoln...that is something...

I don't get it either. But it definitely helped me keep my expectations in check for any recruit.

At the Vandy game I was in row 5 behind the players. When it was looking like he might have to come in to kick a FG, he was warming up, and he didn't seem to have any intensity or focus. I know that the players will laugh and joke around even when we are getting beat. That is not unique to the Vols. It is a human factor. But there is a time to put down the hand buzzers and focus on a task at hand. I got a very distinct impression that he was just going through the motions. Actually, I found it very disturbing.

I hope Palardy gets it together but for the rest of the time that he kicks for Tennessee, I'm gonna be nervous every time he's back there to kick one through.

No doubt hard to believe he was the #1 kicker in the country coming out of high school. I mean the way he ended the year was putrid! Kicking the center in the ass on that chip shot field goal and then coming 10 yards short on the 45 yard field goal against Kentucky :banghead2:

We haven't had a PK that was as money as J Hall in quite some time. Wilhoit struggled at times (on extra points no less), Lincoln kicked ground balls half the time, and Palardy hasn't lived up to the hype yet.

Hasn't shown me ANYTHING in 2 years. I'm not expecting anything more in the next 2 from him.

Good grief, I miss Jeff Hall. Even John Becksvoort. Remember that guy? :) Helluva kicker, too.

No love for Wilhoit? Hall was def. My fav. But Wilhoit was a beast of a kicker too! (2004 FL was Wilhoit, right?)
