Anyone know if he is "100%?" Kicks were still a little shorter than what I expected from him, and we didn't get a chance to see him attempt a FG. He's going to be needed, and soon!

Some of those kicks were so short, it seemed they almost had to be by design.

All indications going into Saturday was he was 100%

So far...he's been teetering on being a bust...in my opinion.

I hope his play in the future proves me wrong.

Oh...and Darr's punts were like a middle schooler too.

I heard he was very accurate on kickoffs and they have coverage designed to follow. However, it would still be nice to see some balls get to Bob's "Checkerboards."

He's not a kick it into the endzone kicker. They eluded to that lastnight. That's why he worked all summer on getting hangtime on his kicks. Not a bust at all.

if you watch he didn't follow through on his kicks they looked like he went halfway. We'll see next game though

If he kicks it high and to the 10 yd line and only gains 5yds on the return because our coverage team was able to get down there would that not be better than kicking it through the endzone and them getting the ball on the 20yd line? Or do you idiots think that with all the attention to detail that DD has on the program that its the kicking game that he doesnt care to much about and that its the kicker not having enough leg to get it there. Im going to go with it being by design.

Auburn's kicker was putting it through the stinking uprights yesterday! Why in the heck is Palardy struggling? Can the ball really be that much of an issue? And surely, for the love of all that is good and pure, Dooley would have been made aware of this and tested it.

A touchback eliminates the possibility of a big run. We will face some very dangerous return men in the next month and a half.

This.

The one that only made it to the 20 were surely by design - yet most of those were just bad efforts.. like the one that should have gone out of bounds but he lucked out.

Think he's not a bust but maybe he doesn't make a NFL team either. Just from memory his kicks were from the 12 yard line to about the 1. None of his kicks just from memory went over the goal line in the air. He is kicking them high which helps coverage but many thought he could kick that high and 5 yards into the endzone. Guess I believed the hype myself. Just want him to make 80% of his field goal attempts than he will be doing good even if he kicks it to the 10 yard line.

Montana 27 yard line
Montana 30 yard line

Most of his kicks were directional kicks. The couple of times that they were'nt he got it to the one or so.

He was kicking some 8 yards deep in warmups .

I saw that too. I watched warm-ups closely for that in particular. Also caught T. Bray punting about 5 times from the 50 when I first got to the stadium about 1 1/2 early. Needless to say, he won't be relieving Matt Darr anytime soon.

Go root for Auburn then.

Perhaps the ground was saturated and he couldn't kick 100% as usual.
