Palardy seems ready to go....

"I feel great," said Palardy, rated as the No. 1 high school kicker by Scout.com following his senior season at St. Thomas Aquinas in Coral Springs, Fla. "We've been charting (kicks and punts) ever since we started working in the offseason. I'm light years ahead of where I was the last couple of years."

I thought I was the only one on VN up this early! I hope Palardy has improved, we really need a good kick game. Well I'm off to work.

To Be a good kicker, an essential is that the kicker MUST have a positive image. Why would a "true Vol fan" want to put a negative spin on this?

He's great in practice and warmups. It's game time he has to get a handle on. Maybe somebody on the new staff can help him make that happen.

Sounds like Crompton's old problem. Hopefully, Palardy will improve like Crompton did in game situations later in his career.

At this point, just getting some height on the field goals would be an improvement and save the linemen the need to be concerned if it is going to be kicked up their butts.
