I searched in his 1000+ post thread and didn't see anything, so here goes:

What are the odds that Michael Palardy does not win all 3 of our kicking roles for 2010?

These guys we have currently are an absolute train wreck.

I'll say it is a 25% chance he doesn't have all responsibilities on opening day 2010.

I'll say it's a 50% chance he doesn't have all of them....or, maybe it's a 50% chance he does have all of them. Hmmmmmm.......................

If he is the best at all three he will have them all.... it is very hard to do though. But as stated before, he doesn't have a ton of competition.

But can you remember a time in UT history where our kickers were such a glaring weakness? EVER?

The forecast for 75% certainty is about 25% to 50% probability for 100% accuracy to be about 37%*off, plus or minus 15%. But that could change between now and September.

*Give or take 12%.

But don't quote me on that.

Why not put him in as nose guard as well.

His size limits him. I like him more as a FS or WR. However, I have no problem with the UT staff making the most of the scholarship dollars being spent on him :)

We could have distribute some quality H2O as well.

Making opponents start on the 20 yard line would be huge. Better field position from kick offs and punting will help us win games that would otherwise be lost. This is especially true in close games where you can kick it deep and make it difficult to get in FG range.

Assuming that he remains healthy...

I would think he is a lock to handle Kickoff duties from day 1.

He will be the favorite to take over punting duties as well.

FG's may be the position in question. I am sure that the staff will have at least a minor concern that using him in all 3 phases would over work him, especially as a freshman. Does a healthy Lincoln take extra points and short FG's? Does Mathis stay with the team as a walk-on and challenge Lincoln for that duty? The coaches have been looking at 2-3 in-state guys (good year in TN for kickers) that they are hoping they could get to walk-on.
