Boo'Ya! :good!:
...I just got to thinking. I have been planning on doing a highly detailed 3D model of a Volunteer characture...you can see a sketch of it at the end of my demo reel:Need to plant a few rocks out there!
We're mass comunicating then.
Thanks. Yeah, I just remembered one project I worked on (the 3d model was originally going to be used for promotional materials), the client decided to have "3D Prints" (smaller scale models) made to show to his client (Budweiser Distr. I think)...they sent the files straight to manufacturing. So, I'm guessing a similar thing could be done...and if I get cooking, maybe we can see a life-sized model (i'm sure they could get it coated in bronze or something) at the entrance of the stadium or something, before or during the season? I'll post some WIP's (works in progress) along the way if anyone is interested in seeing it (comments, critiques).Very creative!
Well..."The Rock" gave me some...no doubt.Dude, you are full of ideas ain't ya.
Well..."The Rock" gave me some...no doubt.
I had been planning on getting this model done this summer, in time for football season (for T-Shirts)...wanted to do one spoofing the scene in 300 where the King screams "This is Sparta!!!":
YouTube - 300 Penguins "THIS IS SPARTA"
Kicking a gator in the hole
THIS IS KNOXVILLE!!!
But seriously...it's a lot of work to do, and I figured there will be more than one application for this...and just trying to think of how to take the Rock Idea one step further...cause before you know it, other teams are going to copy the whole "Rock" thing. Want to stay a step ahead of 'em, if we can.

Scroggins certainly felt at home when he saw The Rock painted orange and white with Scroggins = T Championships. The Rock is a minivan-sized stone close to the athletic complex that is often painted with university-related messages.
I came here and my name was on this big rock, Scroggins said with a wide smile. Thats very impressive. I felt welcome, very welcome.
-----STRONG WORK DUDES, STRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!--------
To the guy who painted the rock.....you have done a GREAT service as a UT fan. I hope the coaches know who it was by name, so they can thank you properly when Scroggins commits. You da man!!
