I understand the way we play and for me it is in no way proven at this point to be effective. You can say year one was decent, year two a disaster, year three has to be a defining year for this style. She has her three point shooters and a lot of players with some fairly decent defensive ability. She has no real size inside for defense or offense. So if that is not a problem we'll get to see it this season. If we don't need bigs inside to score and defend in this system then we have the optimal roster for success in this type system. If that is what makes the system work a bunch of three point shooters who fire at will no need to score that much inside then this group should win 25 with ease.
I've never seen it happen in SEC play so this would be a first. All the winning teams had huge inside presence and the league winners have all had it for as long as I can remember.

No, Edwards was a big blow to you not Tennessee. They moved on and the team will be fine. You focus too much on height. Aaliyah Moore is no more 6’1 than Lazaria Spearman was 6’4. She just took a photo weeks ago standing by a former 6’3 F/C Alex Simmons and was the same height. Matter of fact, since that photo was taken most people have had the sense to quit making comments about the post players being undersized because they all were nearly the same height as 6’3 Alex Simmons or taller. Atleast 5 players on the team. This team has more overall size (length/height) than both of CKC teams in Tennessee. Craft is not a three she’s a post and a good one at that. Her numbers in one year in the SEC matches what Spearman production was in two years at Miami before coming to Tennessee. Riley was in West Virgina rotation. She will play a role at Tennessee. So it’s not one post player. I’ll wait and see how Harper Peterson transitions before writing her off if she’s healthy. Teams like OM, Miss State, LSU, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt are replacing key players in their front court.
So I’ll wait until everything plays out before jumping to conclusions about one developmental recruit being the key to teams post success. That’s how you see it. Many others will see it different.

Totally disagree with you on Edwards ability and know that at SC she is going to be a bench rider more that anything else. They didn't move on they recruited her to the end she just didn't choose us. Yes they wanted her badly and as far as the present roster it all comes out next season. I hope I am wrong about the inside play, but I see teams in the league that look like they are going to be able to dominate us in there. Time will tell we can talk in glowing turns about the roster. I like the perimeter players as a solid group and the inside to me is totally questionable.

Keep fantasizing about it. I clarified the misconception that you posted about Tennessee post players.

it’s a five out offense… we don’t believe in a post up game. We want to draw the other bigs out of the lane so we have easy drives and cuts for all five players.

The player they’re gloating over isn’t even a traditional post player. I like the personnel of the team based on the fact they have players that have produced in college. If this system can elevate Lazaria Spearman who found a nice fit coming here from Miami, I think it’ll do the same for Craft, Moore, and Janneh among others playing the 4/5 spot.

I think 5 out and playing with space has been proven to work. The key question is whether we are talented enough to play with the top teams in women’s basketball. When we played with big posts with Holly and Kellie, we weren’t talented enough to consistently play with the elite teams in women’s basketball. It will be fascinating to see if Kim can meld this team together. Every player seems to have an elite trait or two.
