Konami has a death wish... Get rid of Kojima (Metal Gear), Igarashi (Castlevania), and Team Silent (Silent Hill 1-4).

Metal Gear will become more like the Revengence spin off crap.

Castlevania is already a poor man's God of War. The Souls games are closer to a 3d Castlevania than the Lords of Shadows trash they've put out.

Silent Hill has been rubbish since Team Silent was replaced (the last one was so awful, Korn did the music for it...). I was really excited about Silent Hills...

Oh, and what happened to Contra?

So depressing...

I saw that. Hopefully they sell off their franchise assets if they choose to not focus not game development anymore. I seriously can't stand the idea of never having another proper 2D Castlevania or another Silent Hill :(

The first Lords of Shadow game I thought was actually pretty good; the second one is terrible. And what's funny is the 3D Castlevania games they did in the 2000s tried to copy Devil May Cry, and now the LOS games are trying to copy God of War.

I actually thought SH Downpour was better than Homecoming, but Homecoming was terrible. And I hated the "remake" Shattered Memories.

Yeah, I agree, it was fun for a rental. It just wasn't a Castlevania to me. Just a GoW clone. Dark Souls/Bloodborne feels like what 3D Castlevania should have been (dark and moody environments, awesome shortcuts, giant bosses that will beat the piss out of you, tons of weapon and armor variety/whips, loot, and hard as nails combat)

Downpour, despite the Korn music, wasn't bad. I rented it for a weekend and enjoyed the 12 hours I put into it. It wasn't Silent Hill 2 though, which I'm guilty of comparing them all to... Yes, Homecoming and Shattered Memories were awful!

BTW they're about to pull PT from the PS Store, so if you haven't gotten it, you better get to it.
