I saw a lot of posters saying they were the most overrated in the country and wouldn't be missed so much.

Even with a new system, sucky QB and WR play, and a QB who tends to hold the ball too long.

Oregon: 4.7 avg rush, 0 sacks
Florida: 2.9 avg rush, 1 sack (both teams knew they could only run)
Georgia: 4.6 avg rush, 3 sacks (throw it Worley)

They played against the #2, #6 and whatever Florida is - who has a super D.

Not to mention, besides the bench Worley threads I saw plenty of "Lane is so much better than bouncing Neal get him out" threads.

I've given my share of critisim, just goes to show you what we know. Word on the street is that Jones and staff knows what they're doing.

They are finally starting to play as a team. This was the first game against a quality D line that they actually controlled the line of scrimmage in the running game. They played close to their potential against UGA. Look for them to dominate the USCe line of scrimmage. We are going to see the most improvement we have seen so far in this team. This team finally got to see results from all of their hard work and investment. Knowing you are not wasting your time listening to your coaches, goes a long way to selling out for them. I saw that Saturday, and I predict this will be their best 2 weeks of practice in a decade.

What's weird is on some of the run plays, we'll actually let a defensive end go completely unblocked. I saw it in the Florida and Georgia game where Tiny, as soon as the ball is snapped, will block down to the Defensive Tackle and leave the End untouched. That's when Fowler and Ray Drew just comes collapsing into the back field to tackle the running back. I wonder if the lineman are just getting use to the new blocking schemes.

Best OL in the country has always just been a handful of sensationalists. Our OL has been doing a fabulous job of pass protecting for 3 years now. They have played 3 big time DLs this year already. I think they are in the upper echelon in that category. Although, I was suprised at how active Ray Drew was Saturday. He was a man and gave us fits. Whipped Tiny more than once it appeared. Other than that, our group is pretty intimidating in pass protection.

The run game. I would call them an average SEC OL. That's pretty good on a national level, but besides Fulton, I really don't see a consistent bulldozer mentality. Run blocking is just a bit different skill. In their 3rd and fourth years some of these guys are still standing around while the RB is getting killed. But, our run game has improved this year IMO, and these guys have opened some nice holes.

I'll say this without hesitation. We'll miss this group next year if the scrub times with the second group are any indication.

I mistakenly called them overrated and I have since changed my stance. While I don't think they are the best in the country, I believe they are in he top 10. Also UF has the #2 ranked defense.

Neal is coming along great this year, but it's not like they've had a dominant running back. Look at Georgia. Real easy to look good when your QB and backs are Murray, Gurley and Marshall.

They've run for nearly 500 yards over the past two weeks. People that say this line is overrated should not be able to watch football anymore.

Uhhh, that is exactly what they are supposed to do on the zone read. If the DE crashes down like that, the QB is supposed to keep it and take 5-10 easy yards. If the DE pauses to read the QB, you hand it off and the RB is gone before the unblocked guy can get to him. No wonder there's so many threads about our "overrated" OL.

When we played them, Florida had the no 1 rush D in the country. They lost Easley and Arkansas ran for some yards - Bielema emphasizes the run - but they are still no. 2.

I have to scratch my head at the criticism...no doubt, there are plays they fail to execute and could do better, but just two years ago we were 114th in the country running the ball and today we are 32. That is a big difference!

It's almost as if some people are stuck in 2011.
