I just hope we don't come out 5 wide to start the game again.
I imagine they are going to make things much simpler for JG this week.
Im predicting about 75% mix between run, screen, and short passes.
If this is the game plan, JG gonna stay in the whole game.
I really dont see a problem with coming out 5 wide or any other alignment for that matter, as long as we take full advantage of it.
Several times against UGA, we had Calloway single covered with very little backside help and never took advantage of it. The one time we did, QD underthrew him and got him hurt.
Or if we go 4 wide do a clear out to one side and run the other way. Just do something creative is my whole point. Our play calls make no attempt to set anything up for later. Results = 0 points and only 17 against one of the worst D1 teams in the country.
I see. My point is play it safe and conservative to start. Even if we come out 4 wide, please don't make JG go through his progressions and force him into a tough decision/situation. Start with something very simple and let him progressively build his confidence.
Before Volnation is calling for Mcbride?
My number is 6. 2 three and outs and VN crashes.
Edit: I hope JG rocks out. I think we can win this game. I will be there ruining my vocal chords for the week. I will not be rooting for a QB change unless JG can't go.
I watched some of QD's high school highlights and he looks impressive......quick release....accurate, etc. WTF happened on the way to Neyland?

No idea, but since we're playing "what if".....
Vols are down by 14 at the half, 17-3. JG is 6-12 for 70 yds and two picks. Game not out of reach, but Vol offense still not clicking.
Stand, or try QD?
If it wasn't yr 5, should stick with him, but Butch is out of leash. Back to QD.
