Gainesville, Tuscaloosa, Oxford. Which road games in 2009 will you be attending?

Bonus topic - Of all the road trips in the SEC, which is/are your favorite and why?

I'll be at all 3 games. In Gainesville--play a little golf at their local course, then party for a couple of days at the downtown clubs. They've got some great eye candy at most of the places and some decent restaurants. The game on Saturday---I'm hoping for the best---you never know!

The only other SEC campus I've attended a game at is Georgia in '06. What a game that turned out to be. However, my favorite road trip was to the SECCG in '07 simply because we were playing for the SEC championship. Hopefully next time I go we'll actually win the game though.

My favorite trip inside the SEC had to be 06 UGA. Nothing like hearing Vols barking at Dogs as they leave their own stadium, with their tails tucked between their legs.

All-time favorite trip, though, was certainly 05 Notre Dame. We stayed in Chicago, and there's no comparison in College Football for the history that you feel when walking the campus of ND, let alone the stadium, with all it's historical significance.

I would like to visit all of the schools in the SEC. I have been to Auburn a few times and of course Knoxville. My first pick would be Gainesville, then Athens.

SECCG in 97 we beat Auburn. I was on crutches that day, made for a terrible time getting around downtown Atlanta and the Georgia Dome. I'm pretty sure it would have been terrible no matter where I was, but I was pretty miserable nonetheless.

Part of what makes a good roadtrip is good weather and an afternoon or evening game. Seems like my trips to Tuscaloosa and Athens (now I live here, but prior trips as well) were always fun based on that criteria.

Im a Tennessee fan through and through, but nothing compares to the IRON BOWL at Jordan Hair Stadium! The whole Iron Bowl experience is incredible. Ive been to a lot of games and heard a lot of loud stadiums, but nothing like the sound right at kickoff of the Iron Bowl.

Plan to make all road trips this year, including a week at the beach before FL game.

I've been fortunate enough to attend every SEC campus for a UT game, most while a UT student 1998-2003. My rankings for SEC road trips:

1. Georgia - really like Athens on game day and never had a bad experience (been 5 times). The scenery is also "Top 3" in the SEC

2. Florida - Solid atmosphere. Seen 2 wins, 3 losses and most UF fans weren't that bad contrary to some of the stories you hear about Gainesville.

3. Auburn - A little partial to the plains as I'm a Auburn grad student. Not that bitter of a rival, so fans are pretty cordial to each other and I would include them in the "Top 3" for scenery.

4. LSU - Only been once (night game in 2000) solid time and would like to go back .

5. Alabama - Good experience, but I would admit I despise Alabama more than any other school (UT undergrad, Auburn grad student).

6. Mississippi - Only been once, looking forward to this years trip. Want to experience The Grove again, and feel this is the other "Top 3" scenery school.

7. South Carolina - Tailgating at the fairgrounds isn't bad, but can't compare to the other SEC schools listed above.

8. Arkansas
9. Kentucky
10. Mississippi St.
11. Vandy

Of the venues I have been too I have them ranked like so.
(This is trying to be as unbiased about the game as possible)

Top Tier
1. UGA - Best bar scene...bar none! haha
2. Bama - Great greek scene and beautiful campus.
3. Auburn - Another good greek scene and like the stadium alot.
Middle Tier
4. Florida - Great gameday atmosphere, didn't really like the vibe of the town though.
5. USC - Great tailgating and a decent bar scene.
Lower Tier
6. Vandy - I like Nashville and had some buddies that went there that showed me a good time.
7 - Miss St. - Not much happenin' in Starkeville.

Left to visit. - Ole Miss, KY, LSU, and ARK.

May try and hit Ole Miss this year if Funds allow.

Last year I was stationed in Mississippi for what was basically the entire summer. A few friends and I drove out to Oxford, to watch them beat down Memphis. The game was ok. The...."surroundings"....were amazing. I intend to return November 14th.

The chicks at ole miss are the hottest in the SEC. Of course, they dress up more, wear more makeup, etc., but the quality is outstanding. I can't wait to partake.

I met an Ole Miss woman in Biloxi once. Very nice, but once we got to know each other that changed! lady in the street freak in the bed applies there!

Ya'll have convinced me. I was thinking of pure football enviroments, but a chance to go the "Grove" has put Ole Miss at the top of the list.
