My hat's off to a team that played their collective hearts out. Sad that the game turned on one individual's boneheaded mistakes. Am I the only one that thinks maybe Ainge just isnt very smart.

I don't know about him being very smart. But he plays very scared. Those last throws that cost us just simply were the most bonehead throws he has made all year.

I have to say that I am proud of our defense. I don't think anyone here anticipated they would hold as well as they did. I'm also proud of the discipline by the team on penalties. I believe this is the 1st game in a long time I've seen with out any.

That being said I am disappointed about certain players efforts, BUT those players have already been raked over the coals on numerous threads on this board. So I'll just leave it at that.

I am proud of one other thing. They tried the whole game. There was no giving up and quiting like we saw against UF or Bama.

The change in the play of our defense from the beginning of the year to last night was incredible. I didn't think this D was capable of playing as well as it did.

It took a half for Cutcliff to find a way to move the ball on LSU's incredibly good D (even with the injuries), but he did find a way. Too bad about those clutch turnovers.

Guys I'm a vol fan and have been for a long time, and plan to be for a lot longer, but moral victories do'nt get
for me. For to many years now we can't win the big one
is it coaching is it talent.I don't know but moral victories
are for Vandy not die hard VOL fans.

i'm really proud of the whole team, except for one. the D especially has improved and i thought had an outstanding effort yesterday against the best team in the SEC.
