Out of ALL the coaches Currie could have picked he LITERALLY picked the worst one.

Wow, just wow!

His job is to hire a head football coach and not only did he mess it up but he caused a media firestorm and actual protests.

How can you be that out of touch with not just your own fan base but reality?

He had ONE job.

This whole debacle rests solely on the shoulders of Currie. The fans stepped up today.

Hey...at least nobody tracked the planes...that's the important thing.

In the end, he did the best thing for Tennessee football. Attempting to hire Schiano made the fan base finally put their foot down.

Currie is a YES man.

I had high hopes that he’d be different but he’s proved to be an ignorant ass hole who has no reason to be making any business decisions.

He shouldn’t even have a job right now for considering someone like Schiano.

Currie should be sent packing for being out of touch and causing a debacle.

It took time for Hamilton and Hart to be exposed. Currie did it in record time. No way he is ever taken seriously again.

Currie has proved to be like every other AD in UT history. But, instead of looking at Currie being the enemy here, let’s remember who hired him instead of the fan favorite David Blackburn. There’s a reason us real Vol fans wanted a “Tennessee guy” like Blackburn to channel the fans frustrations and hire a guy that will bring Tennessee back to prominence.

Greg Shaino being offered the keys to our program is an extension of the bs that got UT here in the first place.

hey Currie here's an easy guideline for you. If you're being tasked with replacing a coach maybe try to find someone with a better record than the guy you just fired.

No, i dont there is a positive to what took place today.

Agree. We passed on Fulmer and Blackburn as AD...two folks who bleed UT orange and hired this guy who hasn't the common sense to vet a prospect. Common sense says if I have a doubt about someone with some real/perceived baggage, I'm going to release it to get public reaction. Think most thought rumors were a joke.

Currie, and UTAD/boosters in charge, MAY have literally set us back for decades. Forget the damn $350MM Neyland improvements. This single event could literally have ripple effects on support for Vols for A LONG TIME. Thanks UTAD.

With regard to the second portion of your post, I think that might have come true if Schiano was hired.

No! Currie is like the two other ADs who were business majors and not ex coaches. We had excellent ADs until we started hiring fools from Joe's school of business and bullsh!t.
