Our new coach

Has rooted for Bama his whole life and will continue to. Let that sink in.

If Tee Martin coached at Bama would he still be a VFL? If Peerless Price becomes a HC at Florida and kicks our a** repeatedly would he still be one?

These are hypothetical situations but think about this. Pruitt is a born and raised Bama guy, but he’s spurning them to coach their rival. He’s not theirs anymore, he’s ours.

Our new coach...
Is an adult whose career depends on his wanting the team he coaches to succeed. Thinking that he will actively want Bama to win and UT to lose while being the HC at UT is just about the dumbest thought plaguing our dumb fanbase at the moment.

Thank goodness he's not our coach yet. Still a chance for a real coach to come aboard, as slim as it may be.

Yeah, yeah, I know....blah, blah

Yes they would. They would cheer TN their whole life. Meanwhile, Pruitt is not ours yet. He has put us on hold until he is finished what he is doing. What an insult.

Our new head coach.

Has coached for three teams in the south east and two of them were SEC

Our new head coach won’t be pulling for Alabama when we play them next season.

Our new head coach is a man who understands he isn’t Alabama’s head coach, he’s Tennessee’s head coach.

finished your post.

Actually I really really hope I am wrong. I have found several crow recipes that should go well with a nice Cabernet. And I don't necessarily think he's Bama bound when saban leaves. But I would be a lot more impressed if he dove right in and got to work. Maybe he doesn't understand/know what he is getting in to.

If he wants to coach in the playoffs, fine. But he better produce something spectacular if he does. If he doesn't coach for bama, and rolls up his sleeves this afternoon and fails... I can accept that.

The man wants to finish the job he is contractually obligated to finish as well as not leaving the players he worked with through the past season hanging.

That’s called integrity and should be admired.

Even the fans with older trailers agree with you:)

Don't forget his first two years he played at MTSU.

He will do his best, I believe that. He will be rooting for our arch rival every Saturday though.

First of all if he actually hated Tennessee deep down he would of never accepted the job.

Ya'll are making him out to be freakin Harvey Updyke and it's ridiculous. Yes he chooses to root for Alabama, okay cool. However he isn't some diehard Alabama fan that is secretly taking the Tennessee job to ruin the program. Hello, the program is already ruined. It's burnt to the ground, destroyed. He took the Tennessee job because first and foremost he is a coach at heart not an Alabama fan. He took this job because he is coming here to succeed and win National Championships.

This is his career, this isn't just some past time for him. This is how he makes his living. He is going to come in here and give his all for Tennessee. He is my coach and I stand by him.

Weird because I have never heard a recruit say "Tee Martin told me to come to UT because he's a huge fan". I wonder if Tee would purposely call terrible plays if UT and USC played.

No he won’t, he’ll be too busy on OUR sideline. The only time he will care about Alabama is when we are playing them. Because Alabama doing well won’t affect HIS job and livelihood and his family’s future. But Tennessee doing well would.

If he wasn’t coaching then yes, im sure he’ll be pulling for Bama. But he is a coach which means he knows his loyalty has to be to the team he’s coaching.

You are stupid. He is going to be rooting for the team he coaches over ever team out there including Alabama.

Edit: sorry, you're not stupid, It just frustrates me that people don't actually think through this stuff and buy into ridiculous ideas like he will secretly like Alabama more than the team he coaches.
