were all bowl teams last year. Forget the mean four game stretch...the first 3 weren't terrible teams. Between the 3 of them, they won 26 games last year and all went to bowl games. VT won their game and Ohio and App. St played each other. I wonder if there is another program in the country that opens up with 7 bowl opponents?

I wish people would see this. Not to mention I haven't seen the team fired up and playing hard yet. Saw a glimpse of it until we ran away from VT.

There's a lot of bowl games nowadays. I'm sure we aren't the only ones to play an early slate of only teams who made bowl appearances.

I totally didn't realize that. Makes me think a little better of our 3 wins. If basketball that would give us a high RPI.

So the fact that we played bowl eligible teams is this week's justification for the fact that have come out and consistently struggled against less-talented teams?

I see what your saying but when Tennessee is better across the board the at the very least 2 of the 3 teams played so far and they underperform vastly its reason for worry.

I like that this team continues the fight for 60 its nice to see and a refreshing change.

The offense isn't there but you have to believe at some point it all finally comes together and we see the offense and what its truly capable of. Hopefully its florida but id be happy to get by Florida and put on a show in Athens.

as have most teams...Florida struggled yesterday and with UMass..Nichols St and Missouri about beat Georgia..it happens you find a way to win and move on...lots of fanbases would gladly trade with us right now.

the east is a inconsistent train wreck just when you think there will be a clear front runner something happens.

Im thankful that the SEC Championship isn't set up bracket style because only the west would be in the finally year after year.

Florida held N. Texas to 0 scores, and put up 32 on them, which is more than we put up on them last year. I wouldn't say that their offense was stellar, but I'd hardly call the overall performance a struggle.

Georgia pulled off their first SEC road win against a stout defense, and an improving Missouri offense, with a freshman QB with a new head coach. The way this team is playing, Missouri is not some automatic win for us, and we'll likely struggle with them just like we have every other team so far this season.

and the reason they both struggled with teams like UMass and Nichols?

We have a 4 year staff and experienced upperclassmen across the chart, the fact we are struggling like Georgia and Florida is a bad sign IMO.
