We're outmanned in almost every game this year. They've got better athletes and more depth. Our fans expect us to win all these games. I for one hope we win but with Matt Simms at QB what can you expect. Teague and others at CB what can we expect from the D. We've got first or second year starters everywhere. Half of them wouldn't get PT period on the other side of the field. This isn't on the coaches LSU is just a lot better team right now. They're not #1 for nothing. Da'Rick Rogers is the only guy that would have a chance at starting for LSU on offense. While Malik Jackson would be the only guy getting PT over there in today's game. That's how far these teams are apart. The gameplans were good we just don't have the talent yet to beat the #1 team in America.

I don't expect to win. That is what is crushing me. Losing is bad, but knowing that we have no chance to win is the most devastating part of it.

I don't expect wins at this point and quite frankly I don't think any rational fan does either. I just expect a decent performance or at least staying in the game and it not being totally obvious that we're going to lose halfway into the third quarter. All I want at this point is hope, hope that maybe we could win or that maybe we'll be better in the future. Just a glimpse here or there would be enough for me, enough to tide me over. Unfortunately I just look at this team and coaching staff week in and week out and see nothing to suggest that any of this will be any better next week let alone a year from now.

I just love the people who go from, "we are going to win this" pregame to "we suck", "Dooley sucks, Fire Dooley!", etc during and after the game.

I didn't expect to win, just compete! Looking at this team gives me no hope for the future! Most of us say wait for next year, next year don't look so promising!

Even a small amount of tangible progress would go a long way at this point.

Running game improved. Special teams much improved over past few years (we can not only catch it now but run with it too). Linebackers making fewer mistakes.

Looked like the depth issue was very apparent IMO. First half D was great, 14 points were from turnover, they looked wore out in the second. We had a run game in the first half. They played hard and I for one am very excited about the team and the coaches.

We should be competing for a national championship! Fire the whole coaching staff! Boot all the players! Let's start from scratch! That'll do it!

I know it's hard but we are coming along. I know it's hard to tell but we are. If we can some how get our Offense fixed between now and the start of 2012 then we can be a good football team next year. Hard to believe but nobody has got 400 yrds this year on our defense. So if our offense will come along and get it together then we could make some major progress in getting back to where we once was.

For sure.. We have a girl playing quarterback. There are at least 2 WRs open on every pass play but she insists on underthrowing a WR that is triple covered. I liked what I saw out of the D besides LSU converting a million 3rd and 5s because the defensive backs cant anticipate a simple out pattern. There's always next week.

Don't tell those crazy fans. They don't want to hear it any more than I want to hear the cries for blood and sacrifices. I should just go back to my corner and shut up.

Myself...I just hope that the people who are dogging this team which 70% are freshman and soph, will just stop calling themselves fans...and when this thing finally does get turned around, i hope u delete your account...anyone can call themselves fan during the national championship, but u find the "real" ones when we have teams like we have right now

If you guys think we aren't improved you're not looking at the games. Our defense is better and that's without Janzen or Hughes(yeah he was inconsistent). Our running suffered due to the gameplan we had for Bray. Our secondary is actually better than last years( yeah it's sad). Our Special Teams are so much better it's crazy. Palardy is the only weak link right now. We lost two of the best offensive players in the country but we act as if that doesn't suppose to hurt us.

I do have to agree with this...Matt Sims is not an SEC quarterback...Just like i begged last year for them to throw Bray in there, we need to play someone that is going to be on the team next yr and get them experience...The teams we can beat with Simms, we can beat with any quarterback

I agree completely, TBB. The idea that coaching is the problem is laughable. The truth is we just don't have the talent and depth. Really that simple. The staff has been and is recruiting very well and UT will be back to where we expect it to be soon. Hang in there, folks. We have some very talented freshman and sophomores that will win a lot of big games in their careers. Go Vols!

WTF do you think a fan is? Anyone that is on this board is a fan regardless of their current frame of mind. We are fans not groupie's. Learn the difference before you post ignorant comments.
