I now officially hate over 60% of this fanbase. I saw a thread earlier if you are happy with this class you aren't a true fan.. Whoever started that GTFO. Coach Jones and his staff did an great job this year. The ENTIRE staff was changed outside of Jay. They were able to retain every committed player outside of Skipper. (who was replaced by a better Wiseman) That alone should stand out to you "fans" as impressive. This staff went on to add players such as Dobbs, North, Miller, Jenkins, Brown, and Lee. These are quality players here, and outside of Brown and Lee have a chance at signifigant playing time in the Fall. Dobbs and North could be starters from day one. So this class was not a bust at all. The only player we truly missed out on was Bell, and you cannot put that on Jones. Bell's father said that if Dooley would have recruited him at all he would be in Knoxville next year. So please, if you aren't happy with this class don't call yourself a fan. We are rebuilding, and our time will come. Next years class has a very good chance to be top tenn, with an outside chance at top 5. On top of that we are a very young team, and have a chance to make some noise this year with that young talent. So we are climbing the mountain slowly, but surely. As always, Go Vols!

Think the problem for most people on here is we have been climbing the mountain for about 6 years now.

I agree 100%. It is frustrating to me too, but it is so hard to compete with Alabama, LSU, Florida, and Georgia right now. Texas AM will also be a powerhouse soon if not next year. It is an uphill battle for sure.

This class should NOT make us happy. Yes, we got a few....most of this class won't see the field in the SEC, unless the staff is forced to play them. Way less talent than 85% of our conference just won't cut it....no-one is blaming Butch, but these are issues that shouldn't be at Tennessee. Nothing is going to cheer up our fans untill we see results...cut and dry. We went through all of this with Dooley. "at least he can recruit, we will kick the gators asses this yr...we will win 9 games"....b.s. not with classes like these, against far superior talent week in and week out. So quit attempting to be a social worker and let people vent...times are hard, so be it.

The biggest problem I have is in this league you have to have the players. If you cannot recruit top talent you will not win. Coaching can loose games in this league. Players win games.

Only issue I have with our fanbase, at least the ones on this board is why in the hell do they keep bumping threads of recruits who chose NOT to be a VOL over the ones who did. I just don't get it. I like to think it is just the trolls, but I'm sure it's not. It's pathetic that people want to talk about Bell and Bellamy instead of the 21 kids who signed to wear the Orange. Yeah, let's bump the Kamara thread 1200 times talking smack about the kid when we have (3) kids from Norcross coming in for a visit. I guess you just can't fix stupid.

These players signed today are what we have. The others that you star gazers got chubbies over did not happen. Give these kids a chance. Game is played on the field not by the stars by your name and by the team you sign with. Over the last 3 yrs we have signed a lot of deadwood on this team. So if the coach can put together a good season and make in roads with next yrs recruits it will work. The recruiting this yr was F===ed when they kept the clown that could not coach. this coach in 31 days got kids to come here and visit that were not going to give us a look and you all know it. It did not work out for some but right now do not judge these kids until they play or do not play whichever.

There are only 26 wins available in the SEC each year. Unfortunately we are not at a point where fan wise, coaching, and to a degree talent/motivation is getting us on the + side of those wins. FANS have every right to question why we are not on the + side. However, realistically unless you get an immediately correction to two of those three it will be awhile. True FANS have to do their part by showing up and supporting through these (- side) times otherwise the one or both of the other two wont come anytime soon.

I think most were expecting at least one surprise pickup. That didn't happen. Couple that with our utter lack of depth on both lines and the fact that we didn't address either need and naturally you're going to see complaints.

You do know where we are ranked within the SEC right?
Gotta scroll pretty far down the list before seeing orange.
