After reading all these threads about wanting coaches fired, bashing Butch Jones, the O-Line, etc... Our fanbase couldn't be anymore embarrasing right now on the way we're acting. I'll admit, it was a bad loss and it's a game we should have won but it's NOT the end of the season like some of you guys are claiming.

We still have a chance to become bowl eligible. There's plenty of games left on our schedule that we can win if we just play our cards right. Butch has time to make adjustments which we desperately need to do.

I'm convinced that he's still the guy to turn this program around but it's only his 2nd year. We have a lot of young players that have talent but need more experience on the field. The players, the recruits, and myself still believe in him but there's no point in acting like a bunch of babies just because we lost a game that we should have won.

We're making Bama fans look like saints compared to us on the way we're acting and I can only imagine what other team's fan bases are thinking right now when they come onto this site and read all these threads.

I'm not giving up on this team and I'm a Vol fan till I die but whoever has gave up, needs to go on ahead and cheer for another team cause we don't need anymore negative Vol fans stinking up the place.

If this post has offended anyone, please feel free to put me on the ignore list but I'm just speaking the truth. We all need to suck it up and move on to the next game. Stay behind your Vols or else, go cheer for another team. Simple as that.

Lets see he knew the Oline was leaving BEFORE last season and did what to ensure a decent one would be set for this season ? What kind of adjustments are you suggesting ?

The only way we get better is to flush the system. A.J Johnson is the only SR we have that would see any playing time for the elite SEC teams. The 2015 recruiting class with be a top 10 finish. The class 2016 has started off great.

Most are still behind butch. It's just that the honeymoon is over. No more "everything he does is perfect". Yesterday's loss was inexcusable. It's not time to win, but we have to be able to beat people who we are better than.

After a handful of moral victories we felt like this one was in the bag. It's frustrating to keep coming up short. Sometimes that leads to diarrhea of the mouth.

Embarrassing? No, we are ****ing sick and tired of losing. Jones needs to hire a bettter offensive coordinator. It's not even arguable at this point.

I tend to agree. The passion that makes our fans great at times (like yesterday afternoon) is the same passion that makes our fan base embarrassing at other times (like now).

Not sure why so many don't seem to have the capacity to ride out the highs and lows with at least a little more grace.

Everyone is dreading another 5-7 season. A bowl game would go a long way for this team and fan base. We should've beaten florida but it didn't happen so buckle up and go to work. USCe looks beatable and UK isn't other worldly for beating them. We have a chance against Mizzou and I believe in this staff.

I'm mad about the loss but I can't call this a washed season until it happens. I will cheer these boys on no matter how pissed I get. Go Vols

I am 100% behind bUTch Jones. He has to upgrade just like he's doing with the roster. It's true.

Why do people get so butt hurt in their irrational support of staff members they've never even met?

It's hard to feel sorry for someone making hundreds of thousands of dollars but not producing the way they should.

Yes, the o line sucks. Yes, Worley can't run this philosophy properly. Yes, it's the coaches fault for NOT adjusting to it.....

Same reason people vote for a politician

If they make them feel good with words, then they have to be the best

He did the only thing he could do, he signed several freshmen. And now he is having to start two of them.

Butch is not at fault for that. Dooley is.

In college, you can't make trades or sign free agents. You only get to change your roster once a year-on national signing day. He is doing that, but it takes time.

Newsflash:

Florida offense: 232 yds. total
Rushing: 156
Passing: 76

Florida had 3 turnovers, twice UT had the ball inside redzone and came away with 3 points. Look at the redzone stats, enough said. The fan base is tired of losing along with poor preparation/game management of the staff and team. Florida is NOT a good football team right now and there's no excuse for the VOLS to lose that game yesterday with inept offense that Florida had on the field.

Recruiting is great and we're all thankful for it. However when player development isn't there (may be too early to call there) and the game plan appears to be "let's shoot from the hip" style, then the fan base has a legitimate complaint, especially considering the payroll amount of this staff.

A 5-7 season was generally thought to be the likely result this season. That's not scripted. Those who allow emotion to over rule common sense have a problem with that.

Or, blowing a 9-0 lead to the worst Florida coach and team that I have ever seen, added with critical mistakes that doomed UT at Georgia, added with the critical mistakes that cost UT any chance of competing at Oklahoma in the second half....

That all adds up to disappointment for everyone. The game isn't played in a vacuum. 5-7 was almost a best case scenario at the beginning of the year, but losing the way UT has lost the last two weeks shows that the coaches are about as unimpressive on gameday as the last several coaches here.

I think 30+ years attending games qualifies me as a true fan and yesterday changes nothing. My take on game. Offence took a step back in my expectations Line is not ready for this but it is all we got for now,QB had a off day but has proven he is tough and will lay it on the line for us and he can play in SEC,and our penalties kill us . D proved it is truly top 10, talent and effort. Coach is the man for job but not their best day as a staff. Not a fan of late game chant but fans at game were loud and knew when to get louder.checkerboard looked great. GBO
