Our ex-coaches seem to be doing fine outside of Knoxville

Did you know Justin Wilcox Cal Golden Bears are 4-0? Did you know that Coach O's LSU Tigers are 4-0. Did you know Lane Kiffin has a national championship ring since he left our program? Heck, even Dooley is doing a decent job as OC/QB coach at Missouri. These are all coaches we have had since firing Fulmer and falling into the abyss. Why are they able to find success outside of Knoxville? How toxic is the environment here?

I was sworn to secrecy but I simply cannot handle knowing the truth while the rest of you suffer in ignorance. So here it is. The grand reveal. The reason our coaches suck once they get to knoxville, but are better before coming and are bette after leaving is:

The Sunsphere. It absorbs solar energy and emits a frequency which messes with brainwaves for football coaches. The effect strengthens over time, too. Knoxville city planners knew the risks and approved it anyway. The only way to fix the issue is destroy the Sunsphere.

I haven't trusted that thing since they closed the Hardee's inside.

It could be a number of things.
1) They didn’t know how to coach when they were here.
2) They didn’t coach hard while here.
3) They have better players where they are now.
I’ll go out on a limb and pick #3 as my answer.

I remember meeting the girls from the Australian Pavilion...under the Sunsphere. I assure you...it is a "lucky spot"...and a "memorial" to some fine "conquests"...

Justin Wilcox was a DC here (He is 16 - 13 in his third year at Cal)
Coach O was DL coach and recruiting coordinator here (Very successful as a HC)
Lane Kiffin (NC ring was as an OC, Not very successful as a HC)
Derek Dooley (Again success has been as an assistant coach, not as a had coach)

I haven't been back to K-ville in decades. Is that thing still used for anything?

#4 we had horrible head head coaches over them.

The 2 head coaches we've fired post Fulmer- one took several years to work his way up to a coordinator job and the other is currently a secretary. At various times they had good assistants but they were awful head coaches.
