I believe that the key to the game this week will be our defensive line vs their OL and Hurts. Hurts is completing only 26% when rushed. If our guys can get to him early with a few interesting looks (WAY easier said than done, I know) we could rattle him early and keep ourselves in this one.

Kiffin and Bama are going to have a plan together early to try to take the crowd out of the game and get us on our heels, like 2014.

If we can keep our raucous crowd in it, get to their QB, and make him make the throws in a collapsing pocket, we might have a true freshman QB on the road right where we want him.

Shoop has to stunt, and stunt often! We need to be in the backfield all night. Don't give Bama time to develop routes. Its going to be loud, the combination of crowd and pressure will be hard for any freshman qb to overcome. On offense, just more of the same against A&M, no one can stop us if we do that. If the OL gives Dobbs time we could have another close 4 quarter game on our hands.

I imagine Kiffin will focus on getting the ball out wide to backs and receivers quick which is what he will see as the match up he likes. UT will need a monumental game from whoever plays LB, CB and S.

My worry is their QB/Receivers vs our Secondary. We continue to give up a lot yards and pts with the secondary playing a huge part in that then throw in the big TV Harris we could see a 4th straight game of giving up 28+ points on top of them having a non offensive TD in 8 or 9 straight games. Then throw in the fact we like to fumble and throw int's it could be a long day. If we win the turnover battle then we have a chance. But so far we have 21 fumbles and lost 8 of those in just 6 games is an alarming trend. Can't recall ever seeing a Vol team have so much trouble with fumbles. Even more alarming is 7 of those 21 are from Dobb's. That has got to get fixed or it could cost us a game to a team we have no business losing to. Which would be any of our remaining opponent's after the Ala game. But the most surprising thing is of the 21 fumbles 7 are Dobb's,5 are Tamara's and 4 are Hurd's. Just not something JR and SR leaders with the game experience each has should continue being an issue. Could be the difference in us playing in ATL and a possible major bowl game to not being in ATL and ending up in a mediocre bowl game.

You are correct. This version of Alabama has nothing to do with pro-style formations. So, the deep ball is not out of the question, but stretching the field has as much to do with speed on the edges with the read option, WR screens, and some jet sweeps.

This. We have played fast and loose up until this point, we have to protect the ball much better or we will get run out of the stadium.
