What happened to Georgia in Neyland last year?

They got their butts beat, but my point is that noise is probably an overrated factor in the outcome of a game. Tennessee won last year because they played better that day. Georgia won this year, not because of the crowd noise, but because they were the better team.

When your the underdog it helps.

Outside of a couple games this decade ('04 UF, '01 Lsu, '06 Cal), I think Neyland sounded louder in the 90's. Back then you knew you were part of something special, and every game your team had a chance to win.

Now, when a top-ten team comes into Neyland, they are going to win 9 out of 10 times, literally.

Did you go to any LSU games in the early 1990s? they were terrible and it was NOT an intimidating place to play.

Exactly. Tiger stadium was a joke. Now, not so much.

I go to a few games because they are close to my house. That place is loud!

The tailgating is wonderful. I'll wear an LSU visor so I can eat some of the best food south Louisiana has to offer. Listen, I support my team, but wearing an LSU visor is a small price to pay for great tailgating.

Great... Now, I can't stop thinking about seafood gumbo.
