THIS is what SHOULD BE an embarrassment to Danny White and his front man Heupel. Zero excuses for this in any given year. This week Vanderbilt and Memphis will be ranked higher than Tennessee and Tennessee may fall out of the top 25 with three losses, that is where the program is and I don't see it getting any better with Heupel at the helm. The conference has changed since he got here and the fine points, the precision and execution necessary to compete with the top of the conference and big games is beyond him.
Danny is too busy counting all that talent tax money from last night's debacle to be worried about any of that. Guy isn't all that. Wish people could see that. Gave the job to the easy out Heupel because no one else wanted this job..Tennessee doesn't sell Tennessee all that well. We end up with the best we could get guys too much.THIS is what SHOULD BE an embarrassment to Danny White and his front man Heupel. Zero excuses for this in any given year.
I haven't heard anyone patting themselves on the back for winning 3 quarters, just saying. All that matters is the final score. That game goes a few more minutes and Vandy probably wins. They scored 21 unanswered points. Now that is a cool story.
Football games are 4 quarters long. Already said that. Who gives a shat about how it plays out. All that matters is the final score. Vandy was right in the game and they're more than likely going to come in here and kick the shat out of this soft azz team. Then that means scoring those 21 unanswered points is in fact....a cool story...becuase they still lost.
LOL you literally said nobody pats themselves on the back for winning 3 quarters yet you're patting Vandy on the back for ALMOST winning.
So yes...cool story.
Maybe. But you never know about in-state rivalries! It is at our house (Not that that seems to matter for our chances of winning. Obviously).Football games are 4 quarters long. Already said that. It don't. They let OU come in here and punk them. Let UGA escape. Doesn't matter where the game is played this year. They play hard nosed disciplined football. Tennessee doesn't do well against that.Maybe. But you never know about in-state rivalries! It is at our house (Not that that seems to matter for our chances of winning. Obviously).![]()
Sadly, but have to agree. This week Vanderbilt and Memphis will be ranked higher than Tennessee and Tennessee may fall out of the top 25 with three losses, that is where the program is and I don't see it getting any better with Heupel at the helm. You know the current Syracuse team is nothing like the one we played, right? Are a combined 2-16 in conference play. We’ve played 3 of the 4 worst teams in the SEC the past 2 seasons. And this year we nearly lost to 2 of them. And our out of conference opponent that put up nearly 400 yards of offense and 4 TDs on us is currently 3-6 after being beat 27-10 by Bill Belichecks UNC
If you replace on our schedule
Cowbells with Ole Miss or LSU
Arkansas with Missouri or Texas
Syracuse with Georgia Tech or Miami
I’ll keep Kentucky since they’re a locked opponent
What is our record then? Would we even be bowl eligible right now?
Heupel has greatly benefitted from having one of the easiest schedules in the league, the 3 actually good teams we’ve played against we lost to, and pretty much all were because of piss poor coaching. The easy schedule also got us into the CFP last year, and we saw what happened when we ran into a real team in the first round. He’s built a paper tiger. The team is fraudulent and has been since 2023.
Just curious, did you watch Vandy against Texas yesterday? Texas literally built a 24 point lead by throwing different variations of the same swing type passes while Vandy piled up missed tackles. It don't. They let OU come in here and punk them. Let UGA escape. Doesn't matter where the game is played this year. They play hard nosed disciplined football. Tennessee doesn't do well against that.
Not the whole thing no. Im basing my opinion off the season as a whole not the sample size that was yesterday. Each game is different but tendencies show up every week. That was a tough spot for Vandy to win and they almost did so that's what I base my opinion on. Every team misses tackles has a bad game or two but overall they've played better football than Tennessee has this year.Just curious, did you watch Vandy against Texas yesterday? Texas literally built a 24 point lead by throwing different variations of the same swing type passes while Vandy piled up missed tackles.
