Maybe more of a fit at slot than Staley. Slide him out wide and play this kid in the slot.

Staley is big and tall enough to play outside. He isn't 6ft4in though like CJH prefers...

We have Keys coming in AND King both to play outside.

Guess this guy will share time in the slot with Staley then? Did Dobson just get recruited over? He was a beast in HS...

He can come in and give Staley or whoever a break. Our top 3 WRs play too much anyway. I don’t think Dodson has this guys elusiveness and agility. Can play in 4 wide as well.

Yeah seems like more of a "get the ball in his hands" guy than a straight ahead wide receiver. Gives us a dedicated return man and options/depth at slot.

Might be the kind of guy you could hide behind a tight end and then throw to down the sideline like they did to Hyatt a couple times.

Definitely return man. Can only help in the slot...

I agree that Staley and Dobson are both super talented. Hope this guy has great hands. Kitselman 24 was our last pass catcher with great hands. Brazzell had really good hands too in 25. Matthew's and Staley drop too many balls. Several TDs EACH this year. Especially Matthews. Hope this guy is like Coker for the Panthers. His hands are ridiculous and he has an 89% contested catch rate. Higher than Puka...JSN...

They might've thought that jefferson would be a bigger part of our offense this year. But really outside of matthews and staley there isn't a ton of proof they will be good enough

2025 - 17 punt returns for 68 yards (4 yard average), 3 kickoff returns for 44 yards
2024 - 2 punt returns for 31 yards, 8 kickoff returns for 163 yards
2023 - 20 punt returns for 122 yards, 1 TD

Best receiving year was this year - 53 receptions for 481 yards and 4 TD

Wake up for a wonderful day of meeting with the Church and partaking of Communion. Wake up to a new commit. This young man loves Football and will fill our kick returner role and depth to Slot and don't forget he will also be on punt team and kickoff team. Always need gunners on punt team. In CHRIST Alone

He’s the legend Bey replacement in my mind. And no, I’m not saying he’s legend. Return kicks and play all over the offense. Super athletic utility player versus a true WR.

I think Will Brooks should be able to give out the hardest white boy on the block award every year. My early candidates are this guy or our kicker

I read that he was brought in to return punts and won't play much WR. But I have a hard time believing a guy with 53 catches last year isn't going to contribute at WR, especially after seeing his film.

We're pretty slot-heavy now. Staley, Dodson, Freeman, and King are all true slots.

On the outside, it's likely Jackson and Keys at the Z (where Brazzell played) and Matthews and Travis Smith at the X. Only 2-deep at the X and Z, but 4-deep at the Y (slot). I wonder if they intend to play Staley on the outside more this year. Maybe Dodson can also pay outside.
