After a strong week in which he helped the Volunteers to a series sweep of Vanderbilt, Tennessee freshman Zach Osborne was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week Monday. It is the first such honor for the Louisville, Ky., native.

Congrats to Osborne.
It was a nice way to end a somewhat dismal season. Sweeping Vandy is always nice.

I'm comfortably optimistic about next season. Get a good pitcher or two and they could be drastically improved.
