Total crap, someone posted a comment off of the USC forum about Coach O being a potential candidate and that may have been how this got spun up. It's around here somewhere.

And I question the word linked? What the hell does that mean? Because his named was mentioned in passing he is all the sudden linked to the job...

Pure speculation from the media. They see the opening and immediately assume Orgeron is the lead candidate. What ever happened to reporting the news instead of trying to create the news?

He's in line for the DC position here in a few years and learning under one of the brightest defensive minds in football. I don't think he seriously considers leaving.

no way he would turn down lsu for less money at UT and then go to socal after he has already been introduced and is on the road recruiting.. total bs

I've seen him do it to both parties. If your not in line with Bill's way of thinking, then that sucks for you. Bill is one of my favorites, but sometimes he just needs to shut up and listen. That's why he gets such a bad rap.

I would say anyways that Carroll is going to go with someone who has had actual DC experience. That's my opinion though.

This could be disinformation fed to KNS as well. A rumor like this could stunt recruiting.
