the forecast for the game as of now shows a chance of thunderstorms and rain at night ... could that throw a wrench in both teams game plans ... that might slow Oregon down

Rain is very strange...in baseball teams can play and be totally unaffected. Sometimes it creates those 0-0 battles that call for small ball. I didn't play football after middle school and I never had the opportunity to play in rainy weather, but I think it's safe to say it just depends on the team/how much rain/how the field holds up.

We could name a million things that will factor into this game.

As opposed to what it's going to do to us?

Oregon is coming in with they hype of speed on their Def and Off. ... the Vols are more known over the years as pounding the ball which won't be affected as much ... and the game will be at 7 at night ... so I don't believe the heat will play as much a factor ...

30% chance of isolated thunderstorms. I can not see it raining long enough to effect either team.

I don't know how you could argue that Oregon wouldn't be more affected by the rain.

Team speed is negated by the rain, and that is definitely Oregon's advantage over us.

we do play in the rain y'know? usually not a nice warm rain.

I appreciate your plight in the Pacific Northwest but that has ZERO to do with your QB situation. It's arguably less solid than ours.

i'm not here to make you feel bad about your team, so i'll just say that we are very comfortable with any of the qb's we bring to neyland. many, many things can and will decide the outcome of this game, i just don't think rain will be one of them. you have to play in it too.

It would help neutralize speed on both sides. Might be a slight advantage for our RBs because of their size.

poole is bigger for sure, oku not that much and both are just as fast as our guys. rain or dry this game will be decided by the performance of our respective O-lines. if it does rain it might be a factor but not a major one unless it's just a monsoon situation. just my opinion guys, not claiming it's written in stone :p
