Black stripe down the side....uh...no.

I used to like the solid pants, i.e. no stripes but now that they're back I kind of dig them again. I did like the little T on the pants though. But the solid pants just look too plain to me now, and the orange pants with no stripes just looked weird. So I'm glad the stripes are back and the orange pants with the white stripes are pretty cool.

Personally, I think they should wear all orange just once every year. I agree it's too much to wear all the time but I think it would be nice if they would make it their homecoming uniforms. I've always thought that. And I think they should split the road games (except now games that they will wear the orange of course); some in all white, some with white/orange pants. I'd personally like them to wear all combinations at least once a year. With only 4 possible scenarios right now, that can easily happen.

I like tradition and even old tradition so I think the pants should be primary orange, but maybe white pants here and there. Kind of like Wisconsin. Must have stripes.

Did anyone else feel like the orange pants and all orange unis weren't the proper shade of orange?

Yes. I remember thinking during the 2007 SEC Championship game how pale those orange pants looked. Verne Lundquist said it best when he sadi that they looked like "orange creme sicles". I thought the orange should have been a shade darker on the pants.

Disagree. I thought they looked perfect in shade and awesome in nature. Looked spectacular in person and on HD.

I am sure they took careful steps with Adidas to ensure it was precisely Pantone 151

They did. The problem is, the jerseys and panst are made from different materials. Because the pants are made from a member of the spandex family, they have a shiny look to them that appears lighter when compared with the flat look of the jersey mesh.

The difference in texture is especially evident in certain types of light and even moreso when the jerseys get wet from sweat, making it appear even darker.

Deer is correct. I really don't know what they could do about the light refraction off of that stretchy tightfitting pant material. The lights just make it look paler I guess.
