While I am a huge Vol fan, I am extremely skeptical about the future of Bryce Brown. Being objective, do you actually think that the best high school player in the United States of America is from KANSAS?? Not Florida, Texas, California, Lousiana, but KANSAS. I HIGHLY doubt that.

I don't get this reasoning.

Have you ever been to Kansas? Some parts of the state still plays 8 on 8 football. There is NO way that the BEST RB in the USA is from the state of Kansas. I'm not saying that he's not good, but I highly doubt he's Gale Sayers.

I just don't want everyone to get all worked up thinking that we've got the next Walter Payton when we might have Gerald Riggs.

The level of competition may be worse in KS, but that doesn't mean BB isn't great. He may take a day or two to adjust to SEC level competition, but he will still be the man

This is borderline retarded. Maybeyou should check out Olympics results over the decades and see where some of those winners came from.

You have NO idea of knowing that. How do you KNOW that he'll be great??? He might not even be mediocre at this level. And please don't tell me about his two swing passes in the U.S. All American Game........Please

Just trying to be realistic and not be a kool-aid drinker. Everyone has him penciled in to win the Heisman for God's sake.

No one has proof he will be great. But him being from Kansas has nothing to do with the outcome of his greatness or lack of it.

Nobody truly knows, but your reasoning for discounting him is just plain senseless.

You take a risk with any recruit you pick up you never know how a player will execute in college. But i think he will be good and if he isn't we got 2 great incoming freshman RB's behind him

Just saying that there is a GOOD chance that he won't be the best thing since sliced bread. The coaching staff has NOTHING to do with whether he'll start or not. The running back position is more instinctive than being "coached" up.

I think there is more reason to be optimistic than not, when the only thing in the "not" column is his state. I mean, Kansas isn't Montana or Rhode Island. Kansas has and will produce athletes.

Barry Sanders, the best RB to ever lace up cleats, came from Kansas.

It's idiotic to think BB will fail because he's from Kansas.

I am confident that BamaBass has shown up tonight under a new alias. There is no way a Vol fan can be this absurd.
