What a game, and such a bittersweet loss. I bragged on Butch early on for the trick play. I can't give him enough credit tonight. The team fought, scratched, and clawed despite a rowdy crowd, injuries, turnovers, and more than a little home cooking by the refs. I've been more upset at some of our wins this year than I am this loss. Team 120 has heart and guts, in a quantity I haven't seen since some of the late Majors era teams. I'm so proud, and excited for the rest of the season.

One thing is for sure...A&M doesn't want anymore. I can only hope things fall into place for a rematch in Atlanta.

Totally agree! Really proud of how this team fought.

I completely agree. I think if we play them again and limit the turnovers we win big in the sec championship.

They're are tough and have guts for sure. My disappointment today is with Dobbs. As intelligent as he is he seems to make too many poor decisions. I love the guy and his grit though.

As a fellow nega/Butch doubter I am 100% with you on this! Good game Vols and Butch! Didn't get the W but they damn sure gave it their best shot!

I don't disagree. I was excited to see him finally throw the ball away once today rather than taking a sack. Also, his pre-snap reads still are lacking. I've long griped about the fact he seems unable to move us into a better play at the line. But, his accuracy has improved greatly, and he his still the warrior we all love. I cannot put this one on him.

Proud of effort. Proud of team. They deserve praise for never giving up.

Tired of poor discipline. Tired of good players magically making bad plays. It's a shame they aren't put in a better position by the coaches early in the game.

The team that played better won tonight, but the better team lost. Were we to play again, we blow them out IMO. They are not all that.

I don't know what to think. 7 turnovers is inexcusable. We had devastating injuries all over the place. But we fight hard. Ughhhh

We blow that team out with zero turnovers.

Loss hurts but proud of the team.

Perhaps even likely. But TO's are part of the game but 7? That's extraordinary.

IMO if we turn it over 3 times and are more healthy, we win this game confidently.

It was the placement of the fumbles. 2 inside their 15 and 1 inside our 25. Ugh.

We shredded their defense.

Would love to make it to Atlanta and see them standing there.

Please give an example......or is this just hot air?

Turnover, turnover, turnover, turnover, turnover, turnover, turnover

Penalties....

Dobbs boneheaded fumble "recovery" attempts and horrible pass in OT.

You're right on all counts....and normally I'd pile on with you, but this team is special. Any other team would have wilted early and been blown out before halftime. This team personifies Neylands Maxims. They never quit, and continuing pouring on more steam. Butch has fixed nearly everything else I've griped about...I have to believe he'll fix the mistakes too.
