Florida has a great defense but should be limited on offense, especially if Calloway is not 100%. The last thing I would like to see is for us to give them short fields. I'm one of those open it up and get the ball to your playmakers guys, but I wonder if the best gameplan this week would be to grind it out and wait for the Gators to make mistakes?

Hand it to Hurd 40 times.

Would you want to try to tackle Hurd 40 times? He is a human battering ram.

To hell with conservative coaching... it won't work against a defense like UF's. For us, it really hasn't even worked against App State and Ohio.

I think we are gonna see a totally different team, different playcalling, different blitzing on defense, i think they have been sand bagging it for three weeks...

Throw the ball up the sidelines and throw some post routes. We will beat NO ONE running the ball forty times. We should throw early and run late. If we run too much early and they stuff it (which is highly likely), then they'll know we HAVE to throw it and they will just blitz and play pass defense. Another handoff to Hurd with virtually no blocking is futile IMO. Nearly everyone has been unproductive. I'd like us to have a 50/50 run to pass ratio, but I hope we throw to get a lead & run to close the game out.

You can't tell me that this team, the same team as last year, just totally lost the will and desire to play,, they've been holding back, and there's a reason for it. And we start playing like we have been starting Saturday.

How about these plays....

A screen pass to Kamara (once the pass pressure starts)
A pass into the flat to a TE
A quick snap/direct snap to Hurd on Chance Hall's side of the field
A jet sweep to E Berry

Most conservative / some aggressive shots to keep them honest

We need an officials crew that not only hates the Gators, but is convinced this crowd bought tickets to see them throw flags.

I think it's better said to stick with the game plan. Last year they didn't and the y crawled in to their shell late, on both sides of the ball

If u believe in the plan and it works , stay with it. Take your shots when the opportunity presents, and trust the players

Was Coach Majors working with the offense this week? I think we may go conservative, press the kicking game and grind out a 20+ point win.

Go Vols!

Just like them, we will likely not have many long drives. A can see an ocean of three and outs for both teams. In other words we need BIG plays, so I'd open it up. A LOT! And don't stop if we find ourselves up by a touchdown or two. We Need BIG plays. So no, Hurd off left tackle thirty times is not a good game plan. If we are as conservative in play calling as I've seen us play in past games, I doubt we score 17-20 points. Hopefully that's enough. Of course so much of this is depends on the situation and can't be forced. But for a general assessment, open it up.
