I think JP has played himself out of some minutes so far this year. He only logged 17 minutes tonight, 6th on the team.
17 minutes -- he's what 6'7" or 6'8" and no rebounds, 2 pts, 3 foul and the aforementioned turnover. How is it possible to play 17 minutes and not get a rebound if your that tall. Oh yeah, floating around the outside where he is so dangerous with that deadly jumper of his. Backup pointguard ended up with 6 rebounds. He needs to be slashing and rebounding or sitting. Maybe they don't have much of the offense flowing through him but do something out there. He was a mismatch for some teams in the past but I'm not seeing much energy even.

I think UT fans have a complicated relationship with JP. Sometimes he dazzles us with his athleticism and then dazzles us with his sheer stupidity. He's played some great games and has helped us win some, namely Xavier two years ago where he was absolutely on fire. And he did make two critical free throws against Memphis, a game which we won. But during the tourney win against Butler two years ago, he damn near cost us the game with 2 minute stretch of horrible mistakes. He is a selfish player who doesn't play with much intelligence. But at times he has proved valuable. So thank goodness this is his last year. I for one will be glad when the roller coaster ride that is JP Prince is over.
