Will dribble a ball off his knee and then complain. I'm sorry, he just gets on my nerves with his whining. Just play and shut up.

Its like every play for him has to be a top 10 play on ESPN. I agree, he's irritating sometimes.

I think JP has played himself out of some minutes so far this year. He only logged 17 minutes tonight, 6th on the team.

17 minutes -- he's what 6'7" or 6'8" and no rebounds, 2 pts, 3 foul and the aforementioned turnover. How is it possible to play 17 minutes and not get a rebound if you're that tall. Oh yeah, floating around the outside where he is so dangerous with that deadly jumper of his. Backup pointguard ended up with 6 rebounds. He needs to be slashing and rebounding or sitting. Maybe they don't have much of the offense flowing through him but do something out there. He was a mismatch for some teams in the past but I'm not seeing much energy even.

I saw him practice early in the fall with the team, and I noticed he looked really bad, slow, lethargic, kinda out of shape, it seems........ Honestly, I think having all those shoulder surgeries in the off-season have made him really behind in physical conditioning, and he really is not in game shape yet....... I hope that he remembers how to play at a high level, otherwise he's headed for the bench

Glad to see the team not need him as much this year. His whining is a very tired act.

JP has not had a good start to the season. I certainly can't agree that he is an selfish player. He will be a contributor for our success this season.

I like that this thread comes after JP's only good self-made play this season, the steal-dunk combo in at the half court line.

I'd be very happy if he was put 11th in the depth chart, maybe 12th behind Hubert or Pearl. I hate him.

I think UT fans have a complicated relationship with JP. Sometimes he dazzles us with his athleticism and then dazzles us with his sheer stupidity. He's played some great games and has helped us win some, namely Xavier two years ago where he was absolutely on fire. And he did make two critical free throws against Memphis, a game which we won. But during the tourney win against Butler two years ago, he damn near cost us the game with 2 minute stretch of horrible mistakes. He is a selfish player who doesn't play with much intelligence. But at times he has proved valuable. So thank goodness this is his last year. I for one will be glad when the roller coaster ride that is JP Prince is over.

I will never be so happy to see a player leave. He is my least favorite vol ever.

I hate to hold a grudge, but seriously: As far as he's concerned, I can't get past the Auburn game last year. We're ahead and holding the ball with less than a minute to go in the game. Away from the ball (can't be emphasized enough- AWAY FROM THE BALL), he point blank shoves an Auburn defender to the ground. They score, win, blah blah blah. Total lack of discipline, basic basketball awareness. :mega_shok:

My main problem with JP (besides his absolutely ridiculous jump shot for a D1 player) is that he is always trying to put on a show instead of playing fundamental basketball. You are not in the NBA and never will be, so get your head in the game.

JP Prince and Brian Williams are both prime examples of wasted scholarships.

In the game against Butler, JP was moved to point guard which he had not played all season. He did a good job considering he was moved to a completely different position than he played all year. He, again, will be a major contributor to our success this season. Comparing him to Williams is nonsense.

If we are going to discuss JP's complaining to the refs we have to mention Brian Williams. BW argues every call and can't even keep his mouth shut when he is on the bench. You would think Pearl has talked with him about picking his spots.

There is not merit to your hatred of any player. JP will be fine as the season progresses.

I don't hate him, I hate his crappy attitude. He needs to get his crap together and play with some intensity. Either that or he can sit his ass on the bench.
