I am a Fulmerite. I think the man was a good coach. I was still in high school when he took over. I supported him over the years when friends and co workers said he needed to go.

However, I think it was time for a change. Whether it was get rid of him or make staff changes.

He is now gone....there is some excitement here on seeing who the new coach will be and how he will do

Utah 1.7 million Mormons (72% pop), California 760k Mormons (2% pop) Idaho 360k Mormons (27% pop).

Go back to when I said "in the states".

Edit out pop and add in second most in number of members.

No I was just making sure you knew I wasn't talking about in-state pop and I was referring to the US.

That was possibly the dumbest thing I've heard in this whole coaching situation. Pennington was legitimately angry (and rightly so) at the woman who called in. Who calls someone a few weeks after the fact accusing them of making some religiously derogatory comments. Was the fact that he was still allowed by a major news station to be on air not enough cause for this woman to think perhaps she misunderstood. No wonder Faildozer has been banned here, he can clearly be put to better use elsewhere.

IMO it shouldnt matter if the next vol coach is mormon catholic baptist or whatever it doesnt bother me and it shouldnt bother anyone else. Winning is the only thing we should be concerned about.

And just in case some people dont know Coach Bruce Pearl is jewish and that doesnt seem to bother many people. He is a great coach that wins game!

For her, putting those two together would have taken a week long analysis.

Surely the SportsSource has people that screen the callers, I wonder what she must have said she was actually calling about. If she had told them what the call was really about they wouldn't have let her on the air. She's probably just mad because Pennington hasn't just blindly supported Fulmer over the years like many people think members of the media should.

Exactly. To be honest I didn't actually know Pearl was Jewish until they mentioned it on the air. I guess me not knowing just shows how little things like that matter to me with regards to coaching. It certainly doesn't change my opinion of him.

The radio call in idiots are even worse here in Alabama. How they can dial seven digits I'll never know.
