In 2017 when Hurd, Malone and the great group we got this year are seniors. When McKenzie and this next group are Juniors.

Volnation will be saying, man I wish we wouldn't have had to burn Dobbs redshirt.

But don't worry we will have a redshirt Sophmore or a redshirt Freshman to take over. We won't have to count on a true Freshman to team the reins.

Than we get through this year first. Also we will have a couple good upcoming QBs by that year anyway.

Yea, but just think about when we win a National Championship and have 2 players (Hurd and Dobbs) up for the Heisman in 2016.

We definitely should have QB's ready to take over and be like Bama and several of the other schools just reload every year.

We replaced God in 98 WITH A T and won the NC.:)

Lest ye forget Kamara, Barnett, McKenzie ... it is my belief Barnett & McKenzie both will have the talent and spectacular level of play to be given serious consideration for Heisman as DLs in their later years . These two kids are going to dominate in the SEC .. one of them already is ... book it.

I can pump sunshine with the best of them. Love the enthusiasm but I seriously doubt one of our DLinemen will be considered for the heisman.

I don't ever recall teammates as Heisman finalists, would be something special.

Yeah unlike the last coach (Dooley) who didn't recruit any O-linemen. Butch will not let that happen again.

We saw Suh get heavy consideration his senior year. In my head I don't see it being too far fetched for Barnett to be heavily considered his senior year and McKenzie his senior year, I think these two kids are light years ahead of their peers.

And Peyton retires after two straight super bowl wins and takes over as OC for the Vols! Wow, 2016 is going to be EPIC.

Not a lot of RBs are top picks or even first rounders anymore due to the NFL trends in passing so he might stay. But, if you can't go up by staying another year anyways, maybe you still go as a junior so as not to risk injury and save whatever spot you may already have

Your under the assumption that both stay until they are seniors. If Barnett continues to play great, there is no way he stays all 4. Same with KM.

Honestly though, it's not going to matter. The Heisman is an offensive award. I like Barnett and KM but if guys like Pollack, Suggs, Peppers, Dorsey, Clowney, Suh and Dumervil couldn't win it then it's going to take video game like numbers to get them in consideration.

Sounds like you know vol-nation pretty well.By then
