We get Western Kentucky at home, UCLA at home, Ohio at home, Auburn at home, Georgia at home, South Carolina at home, Memphis at home and Vanderbilt at home. Thats 8 home games compared to: Florida away, Inces...Bama away, Mississippi away, Kentucky Away.

8 Home games to 4 Away games? I'm not complaining, but isn't that a bit unusual?

I can remember a year when UT had 9 games in the state of Tennessee. 7 home games and 2 of the 4 away games were in Nashville (Vandy) & Memphis (Ole Miss). That was back in the 11 game season era with no SEC Championship game.

It's only somewhat unusual. Since 2-3 of our non-conf games are always deals where we only play that team @ Knox, you should usually have 7 of 12 games at home and sometimes 8. Last year we had 7. Makes it a bit easier for the new coach as well.

That's sweet. I plan on making a weekend trip to see the Vols and hit Cincy on my way back to see my beloved Denver Broncos...IF Denver plays at Cincy on a UT home weekend. This at least increases the odds.

10-2 sounds great. 11-1 the next year with hopefully a great team of coaches and some great players coming.

8 wins would be great. I just hate losing to our biggest rivals. Just hoping for the best.

I like the enthusiasm, but lets all agree that the new coach gets 3 years of development time without us bashing him too much

Can't agree to this. I'll expect significant improvement in the correct direction from year 1 to year 2. I'll also be unhappy if we're settling for 8 wins on the 2nd year.

2nd year we should be competing for the top of the conference.

A little unrealistic with what could be the worst team in Tennessee history. I expect improvement also, but not the Sugar Bowl in year 2. We're gonna need new recruits to turn this around. And if this is a late hire then this year will be a throw away with the exception of 3 players
