The only 2 coaches to consider should be Lance leipold and like fickell. These are the two best coaches in the country that tennessee could afford. Tske a look at leipolds track record of successsnd Fickell has build a great program at Cincinnati.

Problem we keep encountering is that coaches don’t consider us.

What we can afford and what we will pay are vastly different as a rule. The finances will never recover if we continue to pay in the lower 1/3rd of conference pay while having a revenue stream in the upper 1/3rd.

Fickell would be a good hire but he's not coming here. He will wait for Michigan or PSU to come open.

And Leipold is 37-33 at Buffalo. While the guy might be able to coach, the competiton/talent level at UWW is less than 6A HS football in Texas. Whole different animal to recruit, etc and you are seeing that at Buffalo a little bit.

Don't know why he'd do that. Ohio State is his dream job. No reason Michigan or Penn State would appeal to him more than Tennessee.

Mind you, I'm not saying he'd come here given our dysfunctional situation right now. Just that, I don't see why one of Ohio State's chief rival jobs would be better to him than a top-tier SEC job.

We are Tennessee didn't you know we Tennessee believe we can hit a GRAND SLAM with no one on base, this time next year we will go after that top young OC or the MID MAJOR coach that wins 9 games in the CHURCH LEAUGE.

You clearly don't know much about leipold or UWW. Look at the results. He took a bottom feeding Buffalo team and turned them into MAC frontrunners. The guy can flat out coach and develop a roster.

If we don't make a splash hire we lose more recruits and the gap continues to widen. Those two ain't it
These two are the best in the country at building and development. The exsct things everyone wants to see st tennessee. They may not be sexy names but they can get the job done and have proven it at multiple stops.

Um who is Like Fickell?

They could certainly afford Jamey Chadwell the national coach of the year and Hugh Freeze!

Fickell? Tennessee needs a coach like fickell. Imo. The only guys on par with fickell and leipold are Fitzgerald and matt campbell. Tennessee needs a solid coach, not splashy names.
