Not sure it really matters.....unless they do something grand in the draft/FA.Rumor is that Heisley made this hire as a replacement for Ivaroni, who he does not like. I don't mind seeing him as an assistant, as long as that is what he is here for. But I get the feeling the Ivaroni will be fired at the first sign of trouble next season and ONeill was brought in, so the team would have someone with HC experience to replace him.
