Somebody from UT leaked this story to On3. I’d suspect Ad Danny White will look into who may have done this & their time at Tennessee might be coming to an end.

Ever who did is a hero!!! But it probably comes from Nico camp!
Do you think his own people are going to make him look horrible and get less money as a result? if you hear a report that another school is offering at three to four million dollars , then you know that is coming from his people . the stuff that came out this weekend definitely not from his people because it hurt his value.

Bet it was Joey Halzle.
I think it was one of his kids. They probably overheard something while Nico was at the house the other day. They went to school and told the teacher. The teacher called the media. That’s how the OJ story broke.

It can be a learning moment for him and his kid while cleaning out his desk.
His kids look pretty young. You know how quickly stuff travels in kindergarten. I went to school with some coaches kids in the 80’s and 90’s and I broke the Tony Robinson story back in 85.

Pretty sure it was done on purpose. Currently, UT looks good and the Nico Camp looks bad. I think it was calculated. Tennessee was tired of the Nico antics. It also appears most of the players were tired of it too.

I think Danny White might've even had a hand in the story getting out or certainly didn't try to stop it from blowing up.

At the point where Nico missed the walk thru, all bets were off. Missing team events without a heads up to your coach is a crossed line every P-4 player knows won't end well. Then, reportedly, "going silent" and not responding to the team's calls is another line you just can't cross.

Maybe it is cultural. Isaac didn't fight Abraham when he raised the axe to kill him. Maybe Nico's family culture is REALLY old school. I don't know.

There's no way that whoever "leaked" this, if it was even a leak, gets in trouble in any way. The way this story has unfolded I'd put money on it being a planted story and our AD, which always seems ahead these days, was behind it.

Would like to hear from Spyre Sports, are they still contractually bound to pay Nico the $2.4 million under the existing agreement or was that agreement terminated, i would hate to think that hard earned booster dollars were still flowing to a guy not on the field for Tennessee, but they could be

With all the transfers occurring, I feel certain Spyre and the players are legally protected in the boilerplate NIL deals.

Nico isn't the first to pull a Spring transfer.

Spyre probably wishing all this would just go away. Wonder if they can be sued by the donors?

They shouldn't... he breached his "contract"

I would think if he wasn't (or isn't) going to show up to the events he's supposed to as is rumored, they may be exploring lawsuits of their own.

If his family is broke (as also is the rumor), now may be the time for them to strike when they can mount zero defense.

My hope is that those things are structured in a way that means that even if Spyre is contractually bound to pay, the players are contractually bound to make appearances that are all but impossible to fulfill if they’re off at some other campus going to practice every day.
